Hey.

There are two fees to pay for a journey.

One is a flat fee which is for the services of the driver. The other one is calculated on distance. Given the recent "cost of living crisis" fees have naturally gone up which is beyond our control.

I don't want to go too much into the financial details on here but for ones we have run we would usually need another 2 or 3 persons on the coach just to break even on them.

I believe historically the SC has always made a loss overall on coach costs but subsided via other income streams and rightly so in my personal view. The key question however is how much of a loss is acceptable. Very open for discussion on this.

There have been some coaches we have had to cancel because we would incur over a 100 pound loss if we ran them.

Also regarding pricing I believe it is always cheaper than using Public Transport so it's always the better option price wise. The elephant in the room is that we just don't have as many supporters going to games anymore for a variety of reasons.
