Thanks to the board for the transparency and the written summary.

I must admit I still find "What made the decision to go to Ashford Town (Middlesex) FC easier, was the following reasons...firstly and most importantly, planning permission permitting, this will be our last ground share before we move in to our new permanent proposed home of our own" a bit strange.

To me this just seems like putting all our eggs in one basket. So if the club don't get planning permission...Ks have marooned themselves in an inaccessible and unattractive ground, (in my opinion) the worst groundshare so far...

Even being optimistic about planning permission, I'm not sure I really see the logic in "this will be our last groundshare so we can afford to make it a bad one!" I think Ks desperately need to retain all the support they can. In general I think there's an attitude that, as soon as Ks get a ground of their own, fans will come flocking back to matches. But in the final season at Kingsmeadow the median figure was about 270. And that was in Kingston. The new ground won't be, I expect.

I think a lot of people will go to much fewer matches at Ashford than at our previous groundshares. And if they spend two years going other things, there's no guarantee they'll come back if a new ground happens.

I appreciate the concerns about the pitch and overall this may be the right decision. But personally speaking, if there's optimism this will be the last groundshare, there is actually more reason to pay slightly over the odds for a location that is convenient for fans and keeps attendances relatively healthy.

I appreciate this is just a personal opinion but I don't think the possibility of a future ground should be the main reason we commit to a bad groundshare.
