Wish Lee all the best going forward, football is but a tiny part of life. Thank you for your efforts this season.

I really wish him well and full of empathy for his journey ahead.

Spencer speaks well in interviews let's hope he stays.
Look forward to meeting him at the next home game.

I know there are other platforms and there are very personal circumstances but 24 hour on there is v v little reaction to the gaffer going
Is it because the forum is dying - we have some threads that wrap around for ages or because it is a fait accompli? or is it because we as a fan base are fed up with the meh season and IF?
or none of those things?
A manager going mid season would normally be a hot topic

1. As JB said it’s personal reasons & not football
2. If we had a game Saturday it might of got more traction
3. The forum isn’t dying, people are probably focused on more important things like family, the World Cup, the budget, Christmas, holidays etc
4. We’re all sighed at Lee’s departure & Spencer’s appointment isn’t an exciting appointment (hopefully he proves me & others wrong). I understand why he was chosen & hopefully he can try & bring some positive vibes back to Ks. This season just feels like it’s going to drag. No fault of Lee can I state but all we’re playing for is the League & Surrey Cup & pride in the league (for now, hopefully we don’t get sucked in to the battle for survival cause we all know relegation will kill Ks quicker) . We’re 9 points of Bowers so we need to extend the gap by the end of the year. Got some tough games coming so we’re need try and get points of a few of them

I don't think the forum is dying. I certainly hope not anyway.
I believe it's because there is so little news coming from within
and around the club regards a new home and about the squad in general.
I always thought Lee's appointment was a little surprising given that he lives
in Hertfordshire and he has bravely documented his reasons for standing down
in regard to family. I'm sure Lee will return to the game in due course and be a
very good coach/manager. I wish the very best for him and his family.
I'm glad the board have quickly appointed Spencer Knight. His experience and
track record suggests he deserves a crack at managing our great club.
I support his appointment and wish him well. He's going to need all the support
he can get.

the forum is representative of the club

the forum feels alive when Ks feels alive
the forum feels dead when Ks feels dead

There are two things going on here. Leo has written something extremely personal and there’s not really much to say beyond expressing sympathy and wishing him the best.

The managerial appointment on the other hand should be worthy of more comment but I agree with both Ian and Jon:

or is it because we as a fan base are fed up with the meh season and IF?
the forum feels dead when Ks feels dead

I’m afraid in our current state it’s just hard to care much about anything that isn’t stadium news.

For what it’s worth I have nothing against Spencer Knight, he’s managed at this level before and he seems like a nice enough guy so he’s a credible appointment. But in all honesty I find it a bit lacking ambition that twice in a row we’ve just immediately appointed the assistant without even advertising the role or seeing who else might be interested. I’m not going to lose any sleep about it though, all that matters is the ground.

I fear for K's when Jon gives up on apostrophes.

I suppose it might be partly because it is for personal reasons rather than footballing ones that Lee has stepped down.

I feel sure that most fans would join in wishing Lee well for the future.
