Just what has gone before - based on digs at prior winners ( one in particular) and why we do it.

Took the time to post but not to hit the Linky - that IS strange.

12th man winners...Supporters club sponsoring the matches in toughest of times - dig dig dig

My Knee OP has been postponed - Now I can sponsor the game Sat so I will - I await the dig

Stop being so precious.

Fans are seriously concerned about the state of the club and we should be lucky they are still about and raising these concerns.

Others for some bizarre reason have their head in the sand and shrug shoulders.

Fillipo - have you ever posted anything positive on this forum?

What have you done to help the club through these difficult times?

It strikes me that you only know how to winge and knock other people who ARE doing things to help the club. Do you volunteer? Have you ever volunteered? Do you buy 50/50 tickets when you come in? Do you belong to the supporters club? Have you ever done any sponsorship? Have you ever offered any support to the club?

I suggest you should put up or shut up!

1. Yes, does post positive comments/things
2. He has suggested things in the past
3. He was a supporter of the 12th man., even won a meal with Hayden
4. He brings family & friends to games when possible
5. He been following the club for 20 + years (I think)

All of that is totally true Ollie and ,so at risk of repeating myself, I do hope we can continue to have debates about serious issues without resorting to personal abuse.

In the past I have been very suspicious of posters that suddenly appear , joined the forum same day as posting, with a name that is anonymous. This is no exception. This maybe a genuine supporter or perhaps someone not connected out to cause trouble. Over the last year or two I think we have generally been able to respect their are different views.. I have never met Filipe and whether he sponsors or offers support is not relevant but I get the impression he intends many matches. Let’s not lower our standards of debate.

I’m not sure this is at all helpful. Fillipo is a very loyal supporter who has followed the Ks home and away for well over 20 years.

It is well recorded on the Forum that Fillipo and I often have different approaches but I really don’t think we should get involved in personal attacks on each other. Let’s stick to facts and constructive debate if we can.

Precious ??? No , fed up yes.

A Supporters club helps to keep an ailing dispersed football club going - preventing no genuine sponsors from taking a slot . WTF?

They aren't coming forward and that is another question but the SC is doing the right thing and gets that inquest - bonkers! We need to concentrate on the issue and be pleased with the temp solution.

And as for the constant sniping at the 12th man prizes...small band of folk trying to keep the club going. Absolute BS.

I am very close to just giving up if I'm honest.

If I , as a 12th man member season ticket holder, supporters club member had to give anything up it would be the forum. I respect others views but , in my opinion , the negative posts are not going to make any difference as they are not accompanied by an alternative way forward.
John Bangs May correct me or confirm but I believe the supporters club membership has gone up from about 100 3 years ago to about 140 now.
Whatever the figure the number of regular posters here maybe 20..

Attendances at our level within the M25 . Hornchurch 456, Aveley 431, Enfield 419, Carshalton 384 . These clubs 2nd , 3rd , 4th and 6th so partially due to success. Moving on Haringay 384, Hanwell 297, Kingstonian 257, Hendon 240, Cray 237, Hayes 211, Harrow 208, Casuals 196, Wingate 156 and Met Police 138. Obviously if we were in the Borough and with our own ground perhaps 100-150 plus to ou average but there appears to be a widespread issue re attracting larger crowds. Also those in the Southern are suffering more than the Isthmian.

As Lesmundo says this needs a bit of thinking outside the box.

I can understand people's frustrations, but the constant sniping about the supporters club is crazy. They're putting their money into helping us survive. We really shouldn't alienate anyone from our ever dwindling fan base. Your contributions to the club are certainly appreciated by me Ian.

Some of the questions in the thread are definitely questions that should be asked, but I think they would be better asked to the directors. It's up to them to market and run the club. In these dark times we should be looking to come together instead of trying to fragment our supporters into different groups.

Maybe a supporters trust or something similar might be worth starting up again? Anything that can help to make people feel engaged with the club, whilst also helping to make people's voices heard?

Nice little deflection for a few of you away from the real issues at hand.

No one is having a dig at the supporters club.

We have bigger things to worry about.

I wouldn't say that it's a deflection at all, just that there's no need for people to snipe at others for helping the supporters club and club out.

I thoroughly agree with you that there are far bigger things to worry about. The question is what can we as supporters of this club do? Short of taking proactive action collectively I cannot see us being able to do anything. Anyone have any ideas?
