The following statement has been issued by the directors of Kingstonian Football Club.

I was interested to hear yesterday that Mark Anderson has apparently been out-voted on most of the major decisions taken by "the Board" in the last year or so.

Certainly the piss-poor statement I've just read doesn't sound like the sort of thing I would've expected from a man I generally admire and respect. It would also explain why he doesn't attend games any more, despite being a Ks fan for longer than many of us.

I'm not saying I'd jump off a cliff with him. But I'd be more likely to buy a used car from him, than I would be to buy double glazing from some of the others.

He has only been a supporterfor17 years ,people at the club were supporting before he was born ,if he is being outvoted it's part of his plan to slide out as soon as the money is exhausted..

Whilst there have been accusations of bribery, theft and syphoning off of money I am sure you're too fair minded to make accusations without being sure of the facts.
I'd be interested to know out with the money given by AFCW for ground share/ new ground where the money to be bled is.
I would ,with my limited knowledge, think it cost a fair bit of money to run a club at this level so would there be much left from other sources to bleed?

His involvement with the club is less than most supporters,he is a Mansfield supporter and no doubt will scurry back to the wirrel when he has finally finished off Kingstonians (God bless them ).

I'm guessing he's been out-voted by the arrogant director of football and his brown nosers? Whilst I sympathise with Anderson and have no doubt that he wants the best for K's, he was on the board at the time that a certain director was appointed. There is something/someone toxic in the boardroom and he needs to be removed from his position before it's too late. I'm sure that the appointment of his mate was all to do with further consolidating his position and not allowing his critics a voice.

The fact that the board thought this an appropriate response to KBH is worrying. This is a big two fingers to KBH and any supporters who are critical of the way the club is being run. What were they thinking with this?

Well let's be honest here, this board couldn't. Run the proverbial if they had to make a living at it, the fact they have this money to keep raiding will sustain them until it is exhausted, but the way they operate is almost tyrannical The club belongs to Kingston upon Thames, they are only the custodians but they are killing it off in their greed.I personally think things are coming to a head and there will shortly be fireworks.

I'm a season ticket holder.
I can live with the ground share at Mitcham.
I can live with three managers in a season.
I can live with inconsistent performances.
I can live with a bewildering turnover of playing staff.
I can live with flirting with relegation.
I can even live with (and understand) uncertainty about the future plans for a ground.

However, I view the way the board handled the KBH initiative absolutely disgusting and completely unprofessional (including this recent press release) and for that reason alone, I won't be renewing my season ticket.

Sadly, I won't be renewing my season ticket.

1. i believe the collective action of fans is the only thing that will shake the board out of Mitcham complacency and into seriously exploring local groundshare alternatives. (We cannot assume that alternatives have been, and are being, pursued competently or at all, absent clear assurances). We must not forget that the move to Mitcham was announced as a short-term stop-gap before the Lovelace rainbow/dreamland.

2. Mitcham is so far and bleak that i won't attend enough home games in 2023/4.

3. Yalda is undecided about her free kids season ticket but may throw it onto the pitch.

It’s genuinely unclear if the mention of ‘selfless volunteers’ is a sly dig at members of KBH or an acknowledgment of years of service.

Probably a sly dig.
Shame the have to stop to that level, but hey.

As someone who is neither a volunteer, nor part of the KBH or a complete fucking mug this is definitely a dig. It has no place in the statement.

It’s taken two weeks for those on the board who are still bothered enough to attend games to respond. A piss poor statement as expected.

No one has criticised the work of the volunteers, so let’s not play this silly game as if to play people off against each other. Let’s get back to focusing on the real issues here and the state of the club right now which is the fault of this board!

*It was a great win yesterday, I had a great day, was good to be back in the borough, I love volunteers, blah blah blah
