I’m so sorry to see Cor Cas relegated. Always so friendly and helpful as landlords and as amateur a club as Met Police are police. Their “amateur” players were just violent and unpleasant matching their supporters. I might be sarcastic of course. Thank god I won’t be going back there next season - unless SSC.

Yep, comments like this are just so helpful in trying to bring Ks back into the borough…

I'm disappointed they've gone down because that's our only guaranteed home game of the season gone.

It's great we are staying up. It's not good the extent to which we've had to rely on other teams losing. I hope for better next season. Simon is a good manager and the board need to back him. If they can't then stand aside because others have made clear their ability and desire to do so.

Well done to Simon who has conducted himself very well and also brought in the right new players and brought the right tactical ideas to get the job done. I'm not quite sure how we have managed it - and in particular where the displays against Bognor and Folkestone have come from - but I'm hugely grateful to him.
Of course we should never be in a situation where we are reliant on other results to avoid relegation from the seventh tier and I hope this is considered a wake-up call rather than reason for celeberation.

Under Simon Lane we have become a solid mid-table side in open play, able to hold our own against all but the top sides. That’s fairly impressive progress from the rest of the season and the sign of a good coach. He’s a good bloke as well and in a club like ours I think that’s important too.
However I think we do have to be concerned about our record from set pieces, particularly corners. We seem to have conceded a ridiculous number of goals that way in the last few months, and Simon hasn’t managed to sort this out. That means we are losing games we shouldn’t be, such as the game yesterday at Cray. Not sure if this is personnel (not enough tall/aggressive headers of the ball) or something else.
More broadly, I’m worried about next season because we can’t be in any way complacent: we are going to have to improve significantly to avoid another relegation scrap. We’ve been lucky that there have been precisely 4 teams out of their depth this season and I’d bet any money that won’t be the case next year. There might even be people on the board thinking “job done”, which is scary. I really hope not and this very poor season needs to act as a big kick up the backside for everyone involved.

If Simon and Martyn want another season with Ks the board will have to provide them with a playing budget to compete at this level. If the board can't/won't provide that budget, we will as you say, be one of the 'precise' four at the foot of the table next season.

I for one cannot wait to find out who our illustrious director of football has lined up as our signings for next season.

As you said, job done. Well done to all concerned.
But I've not been at all impressed with the amount of long ball football I've seen recently - especially from some players who don't seem able to play a long ball with any great accuracy or purpose.
