Matchday Tickets
Views: 6607
Just noticed on the new club website - looks great by the way! - there is a section for Matchday Tickets.
Is the club is planning to sell tickets in advance of fixtures this season? Perhaps online or at local newsagents in the Mitcham area?
Would be very helpful for beating the surge to the turnstiles at Imperial Fields.

I’m sure the board/supporters club lackeys have great ideas but just no way to actually engage with fans!

Into July and team back training friendly matches lined up for benefit of supporters and players alike but nothing from the Board or SC to draw us back in.
The opening home match of the season so looked forward to in the past is in danger of passing us by so what plans are there for us the still dedicated supporter.
Let's start positively

The current top news story on the K's new website states: "The Club will be writing to every primary and secondary school in the area".
Which area? Why would a parent/child in Kingston travel to Mitcham to watch football?

As the father of two children who have used this scheme can I just say that they both really enjoyed going to Casuals when there was an atmosphere, but they have both asked never to be taken back to Mitcham as they were so bored they wanted to leave at half time.

That is sad very sad and no good for anyone
I don't know of the children's age but the young are very impressionable and could be made or put off for life at a match of any kind

The clueless ones who run the club have no idea with regard to promoting the young persons season tickets. We are playing in Merton so notify schools within this Borough and their parents.

The club has received much criticism for its lack of marketing. It says that it will write to schools (presumably in RBK) to promote the kids for free scheme. What would seem like a positive scheme to promote the club to RBK residents is seemingly now being dismissed as essentially futile as no resident of RBK would ever consider watching the club whilst it’s playing in Mitcham.

It says they will be contacting schools in the area so probable those located near imperial fields and those in the RBK. It didn’t specify in the statement a particular area.

slightly off topic, but I'd be fascinated to know how many of the people who go to Mitcham games live in the borough of Kingston.
of the ten or so I usually stand with, I think it's three of us.

Shall we just forget how empty the ground was at home games last season with the kids for free imitative in place?
No one is against the initiative but how will it actually work given our current location?
I wonder what sort of review of the previous schemes or additional research the self appointed marketing executive has undertaken.

Well yes who is the Marketing Executive and does that person understand we are staying in Mitcham and try to build a new base or as promised to the suporters we will be moving back to the Royal Borough in which it would be the schools of Kingston that need targeting
To encourage the good people of Kingston to foreighn parts needs transportation.

We've been calling for better marketing for a decade or more but I honestly think it's a waste of time while we're in Mitcham. Schools in Kingston must have at least ten closer pro or semi pro clubs to go to, many of which have proper youth sections attached that kids could also play for (something else we've lost in the last few years).
The focus in Mitcham should have been holding on to the fans we've still got; instead we've had an absolutely brutal 22.6% increase in the price of season tickets.

A brutal price increase and what appears to have been a huge reduction in the playing budget. I still remember Bird saying how we needed to be playing good football to keep the fans coming to T&M. I wonder if the board would have reduced the playing budget so significantly if we were still at KGF?
