even by our standards, having the most popular football club in our locale coming in three days time - albeit their youth reserve trialists - and not even doing a single thing to promote it is pretty incredible
This summer we've had a ground 'update' comprising of inane sentences repeating the word 'potential'; we've launched a website that looks like something from the 90s; our friendlies take place under a veil of secrecy where only Simon Lane's appreciation of the opposition/post-match hospitality can be shared and we've not announced a signing in two months - which would be fair enough if we had more than seven players on the books.
Season tickets have increased in price and anecdotally plenty of fans are voting with their feet - can't imagine we're attracting many new ST holders either... We've barely even advertised them from what I've seen. Too embarrassed? Probably.
So glad the current regime don't require the expertise and support offered by KBH.
Well, this is what happens when you hollow a club out, isn’t it?
All this and yet some deluded folk still think they are doing a good job!
It will be interesting to see how many directors bother to attend this season!
