Are the website prices up to date, it's £8 for an adult tomorrow does anyone know? Also I assume it's on the main pitch and not the 3G although Tooting played Raynes Park on the 3G in a recent friendly.

Surely the opportunity for dialogues are severely reduced, in part, because the KBH no longer is a going concern. You, for one, have withdrawn as you stated previously on this forum. As I have always said when , in March, the KBH withdrew their interest they should have strengthened their organisation and base. Instead we have a lot of hostility with no one able to say how they see it producing a more positive result.
On another thread about people standing for the supporters club committee that appears to have fallen flat.
I have said this before and really didn’t want to be a broken record. There appears to be a few broken records already.
I am disappointed with the lack of information from the playing side and cannot understand the thinking behind this. Though I won’t be there tonight I assume there will be a team sheet/programme

I agree completely. He presumably either thinks a) he's getting a marginal gain on Billericay by keeping the team secret or b) he's just terrified that everyone knows how bad our budget is and as soon as they see someone playing for Kingstonian they'll poach them on a 7 day approach.
The trouble is it's completely hamstrung any attempts to get people excited for the season which has a knock-on effect on crowds and budget - and the board are hardly doing anything in that regard to begin with. How can you get anyone looking forward to the games when there's no reason to believe we'll be improved from last season? Season ticket deadline came and went with no new signings to excite people. I know of lots of longstanding loyal Ks fans who aren't renewing (sure that's mainly Mitcham but a half decent team wouldn't hurt).
Simon Lane did a good coaching job last season but I think he needs to realise that at this level, the manager has to do a bit more to be a focal point for the club and help generate interest and fundraising. Dowse and Bird very much got this. Events, Zoom calls, interviews, written stuff for the website, etc. Get the fans excited about the season and feeling part of the club. The board certainly aren't doing anything proactive.

Could be a or b but it’s just poor communication. Hayden was very good in keeping fans upto date barring the barren spell after the game changing signings, Dowse was good in the community but not always easy to understand his accent. Whatever the reasons there is no excuse going forward. With just 3 pre season games to go there must be some playing news. Update on Rob, Martin Lees replacement and the the composition of the squad.

Just read through this thread and it’s pretty depressing stuff. Obviously my view is that the members of KBH can do whatever the hell they like after being treated like a bunch of young, inexperienced chaps.
But this is the worst thing I’ve read on here for a while:
not always easy to understand his accent

In the words of Rosey, do stop this.
I fail to understand how blame can be laid at the door of the group of people NOT running the club into the ground, rather than squarely at the door of the people who actually ARE running the club into the ground.
The board said, to paraphrase all the in person and other discussions we had: “we don’t need help and we don’t need to change”.
It is the latter point that makes “dialogue” at this stage totally pointless. If there is no appetite to accept firstly that this is a dire situation, and secondly that it’s their fault, and thirdly that this means no you’re not getting your money back that YOU squandered…what’s dialogue going to achieve?
If John, Yioryos et al accept those three points, then of course let’s talk and let’s sort it out and move forward.

I am not blaming anyone in my post. I have just stated that dialogue is more difficult if one of the parties doesn’t exist in any shape or form.
There is no need for me to repeat ‘that in my opinion the KBH group should have remained intact.’
What no one has been able to explain is how do they see a positive outcome as a result of this hostility? If no one can answer that then that tactic is not the way forward.

"What no one has been able to explain is how do they see a positive outcome as a result of this hostility? If no one can answer that then that tactic is not the way forward."
The hostility is a result of the boards actions (or lack of)... this really isn't a chicken & egg scenario. In fact, this 'hostility' you speak of is completely benign to what this situation should warrant.
As for what it will achieve? Well it will achieve nothing of course... precisely what the non-hostile approach from KBH achieved. There's only so many times one can be told the sky is green when all they have to do is look out the window to see it is in fact blue (or grey in the case of today, but it sure ain't green!) before all faith is lost & all patience is warn to a thread.
I for one praise everyone involved for not being as hostile as they could well be or in my personal opinion should have been. Patience of saints for even going back with a second offer even knowing full well that you shouldn't play chess with a pigeon because all it'll do is knock over the pieces, crap on the chessboard then strut round like it won the game. But that's just my observation & opinion from my side of the incredibly deep metaphorical trenches.
For what it's worth (& slight tangent but slightly relevant) all this scenario... from fans being blamed for things by the supporters club, the boards absolute ineptitude, the denial of issues or the severity of them from a small but far-too-influential portion of the dwindling fan base... gotta say, this isn't Kingstonian anymore. I don't know what this is, but a football club for the town (or even borough) of Kingston it is clearly not. Through lack of any local football to watch with a team I care about I'll be spending my money on watching a good mate of mine coach Hartley Wintney's first team whenever they come up these ways to the likes of Casuals, RPV & the fuzz.
Wake me up when Kingston has a football team to support again.

Agree with all of this. Although only an occasional visitor these days, there is no incentive to come and be miserable watching a shell club in Mitcham anymore.
Evesham United will make do for my red and white fix until I can come and cheer on the new Ks at the athletics ground, whenever that happens.

Excellent post.
I will attend only away games in the league this season. I face quite a journey to watch Ks these days and the dreadful matchday experience at Imperial Fields is absolutely no motivation. It's a moot point whether that's a form of protest, or simply being a bit more choosy how I spend my football budget. Either way, and as I know a number of other Ks fans are making the same choice, it reinforces Paddy's comments that Kingstonian doesn't really feel like a community football team any more.

your point is that an entity which was created to to give the club tens of thousands of pounds a year should not have been disbanded?
that's not your call to make
I've said - as you've mentioned before - that I no longer will commit to spending thousands of pounds a year. the circumstances have changed and i couldn't enter any financial arrangement with the board who have acted so poorly. that's not the same as not wanting to support Kingstonan. but I don't know if that's supporting the legal entity of the club. ironically my business will continue to financially support more local football clubs.
the whole thing is existential. I'm surprised you don't see that.

Jon - as you are interested in sponsoring more local non-league clubs, the step 6 club I'm with are looking for a tracksuit sponsor and I reckon our ground is a good 100yrds closer than imperial fields is. Just saying 😉

I absolutely believe the board as is cannot be worked with, and don't want people outside of their group to be involved.
I believe the Supporters Club are backing this stance,
Until that changes i couldn't recommend anyone invests in the club. As a fan i couldn't recommend anyone goes to Mitcham.

The sooner the better imo. Hopefully without connection to anyone who has their fingers in the current decaying rotting pie... not limited to just the board.
Also hopefully with a name that does not pay homage to one of the major protagonists of why a phoenix club is needed!

My apologies sir. I do also agree they shouldn't have 'ceased to exist' because now there is no official entity interested in saving Mitchstonian from managed decline.
I also fully appreciate exactly why they 'ceased to exist' though (REF: Pigeon analogy).

It's up to the members of KBH to decide on their next move but it is well wide of the mark to blame them for the current situation.

Peter do you really expect people to be happy and positive with the way this club is being run and the utter contempt the board have shown towards supporters?
Why are you so obsessed with criticising Kbh? They tried and they tried damn hard but look how they were treated by this board!
With more fans not bothering to attend at all and others like Paddy and Rex advising they are reducing their support you should really be taking this board to task, not those who have tried to save the club!

I have never said I expected people to be happy with the way the club is run.. I have not criticised the KBH except to say they should still be in existence strengthening their organisation and support base.. The fact they chose it to do so is fair enough and upto them. I am only guilty of trying to encourage them to rethink as I don’t see and haven’t heard any alternative ideas that will lead to a positive result.

Let's remind ourselves of the Board's final letter to KBH, emailed on 26 March 2023:
"We are not looking to step away ... we are currently in discussions with new investors with considerable business and financial expertise to support and enhance the board and we remain committed to taking the club forward in this way"
exciting.
