Anyway, on the game, we were... not great. Mostly quite pedestrian, and we really struggled to take proper control of a game against a team who finished 14th in the league below last season (for what that's worth). We played some better football towards the end with Dsane and DGB on the pitch but even then I'm not sure we really tested their keeper (bar one shot we thought he turned over - the ref disagreed).
Obviously it's just pre-season and I think there are a couple of players who weren't involved that should be in two weeks time, and new players will keep turning up no doubt, but it wasn't hugely encouraging.
We're probably in a better state on the pitch than we were this time last year - there's a more obvious plan/style and it seems like it should be better to watch (although that’s quite a low bar if you remember how we mostly played for the first six or seven months of last season) but personally I think we should probably be striving for more than just 'slightly better than the team that would have gone down last season had it not been for a late roll of the dice and a few good loans'.
I don't imagine anyone is really expecting any different but definitely sense it will be a slog of a season (this is not a criticism of the manager)

Avoiding relegation again this season is all we can
hope for. We need a home, but we also need to be playing at the highest level possible. You never know.

We are a long way from that and our supporters need to realise this .
We cannot go on the pitch and expect to win and maybe respect other teams
There is a lot of big mouths in our club but no action seems to be done by that I mean this is wrong that is wrong and no one does anything

Maybe got my wording wrong here so I do apoligize,
However everything is / this is wrong and that is wrong / and nothing does seem to get actioned upon.
The KBH thing if I am really honest and again I apolizse I do not really understand - at least I am being honest.
TBF I never knew anything about this until the posts were published a while back.
I for one dont mind Mitcham but that is my choice - plus no where else to play does not help.
Kind Regards
Paul

Went a few times and did not mind it.
Is it just the travelling everyone does not like about mitcham.

I don’t mind Tooting, food is alright , it’s in the Oyster card zone, easy to get to from work. Traveling from home, meh.
BUT
given crowds were dwindling last season it exposes the emptiness & it’s too big for Ks. This season doesn’t look promising on the pitch & I dread what attendance will be.not bad ground but it’s too big. Having been to all but three home matches it it just looked worse & worse.
Plus who wants to go all the way to Mitcham & pay £12 to see us lose, what’s the actual point. This season doesn’t look promising, small budget & at the moment we have about 10 players announced. We kick off the season in less than 9 days. It’s sad to see Ks like this & it doesn’t seem like it’s going to get better

for me its certainly not just the travelling
yes travelling takes some people away. certainly has allowed me to get to less games. but once at the ground it’s absolutely soulless. No doubt a good view from the main stand, the boardroom is better than casuals, and the food (especially Tina’s) is great
but objective it’s rubbish for an atmosphere. and its that factor for the matchday experience which means people when they do make the journey don’t come back. Cor-Cas, Leatherhead, Raynes Park even Met Police are better for some noise and some fun
I’m surprised you don’t see that Paul.

Not to mention for a newish ground its actually quite shabby. The handle on the door going into the bar is wobbly, paint around the ground flaking off etc. It just adds to the vibe of decline for both clubs

Don’t forget the leaking clubhouse toilets. On a rainy day last season I had to step outside to get my feet less wet!

There is no point in starting a new thrthread in a subject that doesn’t exist, unlikely to exist unless you think otherwise. If you think this can be resurrected then great otherwise your point is pointless

Taimour post related to the board exhausting all groundshare possibilities which has potential for more discussion But nothing to do with the thread it was posted in. My reply to Gary was that his point has no future discussion as the KBH no longer exists. If he disagrees and thinks it may re emerge then agree with you a new thread can be started but at the time I posted that it was a dead subject. There is a difference

How much pocket money do the board give you for backing them on here?

Give it a rest Peter, for crying out loud.
I think most of the 13 of us have replied to you, patiently, on this topic over the last few weeks.

Alastair, There maybe a view that quite a few people should give it a rest . If people post they can’t expect no one to respond. A minority of the 13 have replied but never explained how the hostile constant criticsm was going to produce a positive outcome. No one answered that.
There has been crisis m on here that some supporters club committee members no longer post. We all have a choice and someone telling me to give it a rest will not determine whether I post.

You keep using the words “hostile” and “hostility”. I’m unsure why valid criticism of the board is referred to as “hostile” and why the airing of feelings and fears of long term fans are referred as “hostile”?. Such angry phraseology to counter genuine worry will stop people speaking out and just sounds like suppression instead of actually listening to the thoughts of supporters.

He's not actually wrong to be fair...
hostile
hŏs′təl, -tīl″
adjective
1. Of, relating to, or characteristic of an enemy.
2. Feeling or showing enmity or ill will.
3. Being in opposition; opposed.
We are being number 3 to the board. While at the same time the board is being number 2 to us while also viewing us as number 1.
