As much as I enjoy reading the posts on this forum page, and there are some very interesting posts. Being a K's fan since the late 1950s I am stuck in that amazing era. Who would have thought the famous Red & White Hoops would get to Wembley. Alas we lost that final against Hendon,. I think I have been on anti depressants ever since. But in the words of some famous clubs K's go marching on. Good luck K's for the future.

So why were you on anti-deps during the glory years.
Don't you remember the league title , the back to back
trophy wins and those fabulous cup runs.
Blimey you must have been well out of it.

Does it matter how it ended. We were there - we did things we had never done before and most definitely now will never do again. We were quality we were class and even if it only lasted a few years it was amazing. All the grim places up north for Conf nights and that first trophy run simply the best time in 52 yrs of following K’s. How many footie fans in the country would love to see their team win at Wembley - even once. We were shit hot and I’m so proud even now.

Really you would have given all that up to be what as big as Dulwich Hamlet, Billericay, Whitehawk or Ebbsfleet are now. Sutton have done well - but we’re always a wealthy club like Woking. We never had a large support and couldn’t ever gain one once AFC arrived backed by Chelsea.

A few brief seasons at the top table of non league or an ongoing stable club. Which is more important for the owners?

I think yes it's important to remember how it ended and why as ,for me it is as much the history of this club as the few brief season of success you recall.
