Oh dear, Ks won quite comfortably in the end. I blame the board/director of football/Supporters' club. It has to be somebody's fault that we won given the comments when the tie was announced. Shows how far Ks have fallen, why should Ks win as Lydd have a better board.
The lack of comments on the forum because we won compared to those that would have been made had we lost is illuminating.
Nevermind we may lose the next round and you can go back to blaming the board etc.

One swallow does not a summer make, Jimothy
If, by some miracle, Ks avoid a relegation battle or better this season... The club is still a mess, run by people who've lost the support of a majority of the fan base they're not in bed with - excuse the literal meaning behind that if you're a certain club director.
It would be ideal if that majority of the forum continues to welcome or at least avoid being hostile to those that are apologists for the current state of affairs but not when posters are brazenly obtuse or deliberately inflammatory like this.

Jim, are you that bored instead of commenting on a win you’ve decided to gaslight something. Jeeez wasn’t expecting this tonight. Thought you were better than that. They are two divisions below Ks and theoretically we should beat them but given Ks the last year it wasn’t going to be easy. Note to all Ks has to be like D.P.R.K or China. Ks in 2023 everyone
Ks are in free fall, we somehow escaped relegation last season. How I don’t know. Everyone in the league has got better & we’re still the same. You had someone on Monday promoting a crowd of 441 as a good attendance. It WAS THE 2nd LOWEST in the Isthmian Premier League that day. Tooting has had better crowds at home than Ks. They are in the Combined Counties Premier Division South (two leagues below Ks).
Instead of saying good to see Ks win & ask who do people want in the draw tomorrow especially as national league South/North enter. You’ve gone let’s stoke up a fire because, well I don’t honestly know why. Probably because you’re bored or got nothing better to do.

Are people not allowed to have a view that doesn't match yours? But again it was a bit of humour but then I presume in your rush to have a go at someone with a view other than yours the humour went over your head.
I would suggest the current situation is not quite as bad as going into administration.

I think the current situation is worse than going bush tbh.
if it was bust a Phoenix club would rise quickly. instead we’re in this purgatory position where we can’t run out of money but don’t really exist as a local club

If there is the confidence that a phoenix club could rise quickly and no reason to doubt that possibility. Would it not be forward thing to set up a ladies team based in Kingston and build up local connections to busines. The women’s game is fast growing. It’s been said many times there is a lot of talent going to waste and it maybe years to discover how all this will pan out. If a phoenix club was required then the infrastructure in place If not required then, if circumstance suit, could amalgamate

How many years do you think we can spend in Mitcham before the club dies (in spirit)? I accept we won't fold (financially) until the AFC money has run dry.

Everyone views are welcome, don’t have to agree with everything be it politics/sports/ or is it jam or cream first in a scone BUT you took decided to take a leaf out of the daily mail handbook & gaslight something and you now decide to call it “humour” please that’s BS.
You’re clearly BORED hence you started this thread. What’s your next gaslit thread.

Given the abuse that goes on on this forum I think you live in a parallel universe.
And how does what I have said come from the Daily Mail? But nevermind you think what you like. I am sure it makes you happy and I am glad that you know what I am thinking.

Thank you for the personal attack. When people resort to personal attacks it is usually a sign that they have lost the argument.
Is this what we can expect from the new Supporters Club executive committee? Will people have to pass an attractiveness test to be allowed to join the Supporters club?

You referred to me as ‘Pavlov’s dog’ but that’s not personal?
You’ve demonstrated that you really are a sad little man that laughs at his own jokes!

Ok, Jim. I'll comment on today. Yes, the team did the job against a team two divisions below who were blowing out of their arses for the last 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, there were 190 in attendance, with a healthy away following. On a lovely sunny afternoon. On a Sunday which presumably attracted a few hoppers/FA Cup fans.
We had 151 at home in the Trophy last season.
Pretty bleak figures when not artifically boosted by season tickets/comps/whatever else is added on.
"I blame the board/director of football/Supporters' club."
You said it, Jim.

Just as a side note there were three other ties around London today. Uxbridge v Cray pm at Uxbridge ( believe their ground being improved) Biggleswade v Maldonnand Tipree at Bedford Town fc and Erich v Hastings at Welling fc. I can’t find Eriths attendance but would expect it to be healthy but the other two were 124 and 148 . It seems the weather , ground hoppers and FA cup enthusiasts gave them a miss as well.
Irrespective 190 is a concern.

I think there is a bad situation with clubs in the London area at our level unable to attract crowds to sustain the respective clubs. Apart from Dulwich (1500 +) and the next two or three 400-500 it pretty dire. We are seeing a gap between the above and clubs in the outer reaches of our league. We are also seeing a gap between those with money men and those without. There were rumour last year of Hornchurch paying £1000 a week for a Folkestone player.. Unfortunaly for fan owned clubs it’s an uphill task
Jon, when the KBH were in discussions did they have an idea of the annual running costs of a club at our level or were they reliant on receiving info from the directors which may not have been forthcoming?
I am not sure whether doubling of gates would make a significant difference
As you will rightly point out the more important factor is getting back closer to the centre of Kingston and attracting sponsorship.
Dulwich, with the crowds they got last year (often 2k plus) still got relegated
As you really know the point of my post was not comparing clubs but pointing out that the warm weather,fa cup and groundhoppers were not an attraction elsewhere in the Sunday games

I hope if you become a member of the Supporters' club executive committee purporting to represent all supporters you will learn to accept other supporters views. Haha
