Casuals in Crisis?
With 3 points from 5 games following relegation last season it doesn't look like things are in a good way at our former landlords. Of course they don't pay their players but perhaps the K's rent was going towards marginal gains that are now badly missed..
You wonder is our board able to re-build their own poor relations with their CC counterparts and could this be considered for next season? Not perfect but a big improvement on Mitcham. Of course it shouldn't be the only option but should definitely be in the conversation.
Hopefully this time around we'll hear about the board's plan for next season earlier than May.

Having tried to stab them in the back and not getting away with it I can't see them wanting to talk to us.

I wouldn't call it a crisis to be fair... just a return to the norm for them being a bottom half Step 4 side.
I'm no anti-Casuals & I have respect for how they have maintained themselves at Step 3 & 4 with their amateur status... but those years at Step 3 were dizzying heights for them just like our years in the Conference were for us.

If we're being honest, the groundshare agreement was good for us both, and the split has been bad for both. I hope we can arrange to play there again. It suited us both.
I went there for their recent game against Met Police - don't hate me, was a lovely sunny Saturday and Ks were on the Sunday. I must say I thought their boss Andy Gray came across as the most clueless manager I've ever seen and the players seemed to be ignoring him. I dare say that getting in another manager will solve some of their issues.

I was there last Saturday when Hartley Wintney knocked them out of the FA Trophy (as an away fan because my friend is a coach for Hartley). They've done a nice job on the clubhouse refurb.

Due to James Bracken Casuals punched well above their weight for a while. He seemed to work minor miracles there and it has basically gone in to a nose dive since he left.
If they seriously don't pay their players they will be limited in who they can attract and retain.

The Board rough shod over them in pressing for a permanent ground share which should have benefited both clubs but, Casuals saw this as a takeover which they declined.

This is an interesting point do grounshares work best long term ie more than 10 years when the club who owns the is the bigger club?
Bromley and Cray
AFCW and Ks
