Meeting with the Board

Today the supporter’s club President and General Secretary met with representatives of the Kingstonian FC board following the election of the new committee.

We have been assured that no topic is off the table as we look to engage in constructive talks around the club’s future.

We will be engaging with the board on a monthly basis but prior to each of these meetings we have a commitment to seek the views of supporters especially around the types of questions and topics that should be raised.

We are grateful to the board for agreeing to meet with us at this stage.

Thanks. So much we'd like to know and we're well overdue another fans' forum, the previous SC seemed resistant to this, so perhaps the new committee could push for one.

In the meantime, the three most obvious questions are:

1) What's happening with the ground? It's two months since the last update, are the board any further forward in considering the viability of this [site] in the light of planning and other considerations specific to the site. It's important that they take a realistic view of this given the Lovelace debacle.

2). Mitcham. Really nothing more to say about how it's killing the club but the permanent ground will take years if it happens at all, we have to be somewhere nearer next season. Good posts on here about Casuals the other day.

3) The money. How much Womble money is left, how much are we spending a year and do they honestly think it's enough to build a new ground?

Why worry as the board have said others will. be envious - shame it's more likely to be fellow members of the Wimbledon and District League

4) Why is it that only two board members seem to attend games anymore? Both Anderson and Hayward are still showing as being shareholders on companies house, but neither have attended games (home and away) since the move to Mitcham. Have they both withdrawn their funding and that is why we have a decimated budget? If so, why did the board decline external investment from a group of supporters that would also provide significant expertise in other business areas?

This is great news.

One of the best things I have seen for a long while on this forum.

Yes as well something positive

Long may it continue and hopefully things can be sorted out.

Fair play to all involved
