Attendance: 118

There were 75 people in the ground.
When will the board realise the move to Mitcham is killing the club?
But, don't worry, financier/steel supremo/door merchant/stadium expert Ben Flatt attended!

What are they supposed to do - move ground overnight? Invade kingsmeadow and stage a sit in?

No they should find somewhere better for next season, which means negotiating with Casuals, Met Police and Hampton, the only three grounds just about near enough to Kingston to keep our club together. A permanent ground will be somewhen between five years and never, we can't go on getting crowds of 118 during that time.

We can't really afford to go down either.
Gates of 118 down to double figures will be the norm in the Sth Central vs the likes of Sutton Common Rovers, South Park, Chipstead etc. At least 20 or so were from Whitehawk as well.

How do you know that is not what they are trying to do

I hope they are but there's been little evidence over the last 15 months that they recognise the scale of the problem in Mitcham. We can only hope that the succession of dismal crowds we've had in the last few weeks has helped them realise that we can't go on like this.

Because 1) they are happy at mitcham
2) they don't try and they are incompetent
3) even if they claim they've tried, which they don't, it would mean Yiorgios sending one email to an incorrect address

Agreed
Where do we move to then ?
Easy it is to build a football ground let's just rock up somewhere and build , construction simple in your eyes.
Also don't get why dig Mr b flatt out ?
You got any ideas ?

Foley, there were literally ideas put forward before your comment, and many other previous times on here, had you bothered to scroll up.
It’s fans like you that are the problem. Sleepwalking into oblivion whilst asking stupid questions on here. I have it on good authority that you don’t even go to games!? Maybe we’ll put some missing posters up with your face all over them… second thoughts, Halloween is over so maybe not.
You may be happy watching us play Epsom and Ewell social club in a local park on a wet Sunday in January in 3 years time, but we’re not.

Don't think that at all and I do not see that happening us playing on a Sunday morning.
I just don't like the constant digging at people who in my opinion I think are working on a solution.
Building a ground is not easy and not a quick thing.
Yes of course we need one.
I don't go now due to work commitments etc and other things going on in life not that I feel I need to explain .
Hey ho we all have different opinions on this matter.

I just don't know how much more evidence the board (and the small handful of fans who defend Mitcham) need to see. 118, not just beating our record low for a proper competition but smashing it completely out the water.

Chessington and Hook played the team I watch now. Spoke to a few who voted agin ground share with Ks as it came across as a ' hostile takeover ' rather than a partnership.
The crowds at Imperial Fields aren't far of ours and we're 2nd level country league.bottom of the table but still far more enjoyable than Ks sounds at the mo.

I don't blame C&H fans (or Casuals fans) for thinking that one bit to be honest. After what the Scumbles did to us it is easy for others to think we're going to try to do it to them in a "shit rolls downhill" sort of vibe.
I know as a club we have not got the intentions of taking over a stadium, changing the name to something pretentious & painting the place in our colours all while smugly pretending we are saving the original occupant, but, I have no doubts that is how it will come across to clubs that we try to engage with.

If it came across as such, that's an inditment of how it was presented.
The ones I spoke to went into talks hoping it would work for both clubs.

For some context let’s not forget:
Seven years ago the board made a decision to leave Kingsmeadow early despite having….7 years left on the lease. Go and have a chat with our former Chairman Jimmy who will give you all the details.
A decision like that should not be made lightly and should never have been made without concrete plans to move to a new ground.
Multiple options have been explored one at a time rather than collectively which in the real world of project management is what you do.
The wrong people at the council were engaged with despite being advised by a former councillor, Kingston businessman and current Ks fan on who the right people to engage with at the council are.
Last nights official attendance possibly included the players, coaches, ref, bar staff and stewards as following a few counts by fans, 118 was no where near what was counted. The old excuse of including ‘season ticket holders’ could not be used as it was all pay.
So yes just to re-inforce Taimour’s point above, the club is currently dying despite what some of those in denial and not in attendance might say!
