Poor second half once again, heard several fans saying we cannot win the FAT so not bothered that we lost heavily. The FAT brings in prize money so we should take it seriously.

People do care about the FA Trophy. It’s extra money to the club , though drawing teams in your league is very demoralising. If we had half decent teams or half decent away days would help but that’s the luck of the draw

Plenty of justified comments on here and at last night's game about the attendance. I was truly shocked and saddened to look around Imperial fields and at the main stand and see so few people. I must thank and admire all who did bother to turn up in support of our beloved football club. The pending storm, prevailing conditions, footie on TV and the cost of living crisis may all have contributed to the lowest home attendance I have witnessed since the early to mid 1970's.
Turning briefly to the game itself, if Whitehawk weren't flattered by the 4-0 kick in the balls they dished out, they ought to be.
I wasn't impressed, like I wasn't impressed with Cray, Canvey, or Folkestone before them. On a dismal evening, I actually thought this side, assembled by Simon Lane didn't play that badly.
Our forward play was good and we created a lot of chances.
At no time did any of our players give up and kept creating scoring opportunities right up to the end. The one thing that is wrong with this team, is that we constantly give posession away so cheaply, particularly in midfield and the manager must address this. Its costing us, terribly. We were asleep for Whitehawks first goal from a corner and pretty much gifted them at least two more goals by giving the ball away cheaply.
Whitehawks no.8 and no.10 were fairly decent in midfield and allowed free reign and did the damage, but 4-0 was very flattering. Lets hope we can get more results at home like the Canvey, Cray and Folkestone performances. We need to stay and compete at this level. We can expect more gates of 118, or much less if we don't.
