Angry - our club is dying
Views: 1919
*warning. This post is likely to make people angry, and so it should. Contains a lot of swearing because I’m angry too.
The club is a joke, run by fucking idiots and a manager so far out of his depth he must think himself lucky he’s still being paid, so dare not say a word.
How much longer can this go on? Do they realise how much the club is in the shit on their watch? If they don’t realise, they’re as incompetent as I believe they are. If they do realise, they’re well past the time to sort it out because it’s now seeming like wilful neglect, even go as far as calling it deliberate sabotage.
New Kingstonian Supporters' Club committee working hard, sponsoring today’s match and trying to get the community involved while constantly getting the boardroom door slammed in their faces! If they can’t run the club for the benefit of the fans and the community of Kingston, fuck off and allow people who will be able to do that. Or is the AFC Wimbledon pot of gold to difficult to leave behind?
3 wins away from safety with 25 to play, when we’ve only win 3 out of 17. We’ve taken 1 point from 3 recent big relegation matches.
Angry? Fucking right I’m angry. And so should you be.

Unfortunately what you say mate is 100% correct. The club as we grew up to know has been allowed to decline to such a position that I like many others probably appreciate that under the current owners and board we cannot and will not survive for very much longer. The ground search or lack off it has turned into a farce. If there is news then for christ sake just let us be made aware as after all without the fans there is no club!!
We have all suffered for to long and if board and owners are struggling for ideas, then pull out or let some younger blood get involved with ideas. What have you to lose or if you not want change just ask us supporters for ideas at least. What is let's say for 2-3 hours a month to all get together and find away forward if there is any!!!
We as a club have never had massive support but we had fans who care deeply for the club.We are a club full of a proud history of good players and passionate fans.
Either get together or if you and heart then get out one and all and let the supporters or someone else try save us.

Just about 1 thing in your post, "the new supporters club, working hard, sponsoring todays match".
Wasn't that something that they kept on moaning about the previous supporters club before they became the supporters club board?
COME ON YOU Ks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can anyone continue to defend this board, in fact I’m surprised there are still K’s fans that aren’t kicking off/complaining about how this club is being run.
It’s clear that only 2 of the directors are involved in the running of the club, led by a chairman who doesn’t even want to talk to fans and is in total denial about the position the club is in. It doesn’t help that he has a few lackies around him like Newt and Jim Page still that blow smoke up his arse and have a pop at those who are trying to bring the club together from the supporters club.
It’s sheer arrogance to carry on with the way things are. Despite years of warnings being made, we are now left with less than a hundred fans and a team that may struggle in the league below. It’s only going to get worse for them if they carry on clinging on to this so called power they think they have. We as fans now need to collectively ask John to stand down, he’s out of his depth, out of ideas and now is out of time!

Not only have these people moved us to what is frankly the middle of nowhere, they have also allowed standards to drop so we now have a relegation team and will surely drop to step four. That is a massive drop in status and quality and surely we will continue to diminish before our eyes unless we start playing in Kingston again somehow. The lack of information about the ground is extraordinary to say nothing of the blundering waste of six or seven years on a wild goose chase on Lovelace Road. The board must know they have let the fans and the team down again, and again and again. They should now stand aside and let the fans of KBH take over. One can only wonder what the reason for their continued grip on the club is given what might be kindly described as their woeful track record.

Nothing wrong with sponsoring a match, but sponsorship has to be targeted. Yesterday was a good day to sponsor a game, the last home match before Christmas, making it a family day and Christmas party. But we can’t just go sponsoring matches wily nily. That’s just throwing SC money at the board and they have proved to be reckless and unaccountable with club funds.

Any thoughts on K's dying?
How about today's attendance figure?
Or the league position?

Personally I don't think Lane is out of his depth.
I think he did an excellent job last season to save us when we were really in the shit.
He comes across as a good bloke and the more he did interviews last season the more I liked him. It's not his fault that the volunteers who did the post-match interviews have decided not to do so this season (as they're entitled to do).
We created so many good chances in the first half yesterday. We should have scored three. That we didn't was the fault of the players. I think his tactical approach often works and individual errors let us down.
I think it's very hard to create a good squad with the right spirit when our board are so incompetent and when we're playing in an empty ground.
Probably unpopular but I hope people don't turn on the manager.
That said, it's worth adding that we've now lost two coaches this season. I don't know what extent they were responsible for our relative good form last season but it may be significant.

Regarding the manager, from what I hear, we try to play good and positive football, but have a tendency of missing chances and conceding bad goals through individual errors. If the team has one of the lowest budgets in the division, then these are the sort of problems that happen.
When your budget is really small, recruitment is very challenging, especially if you haven't managed a lot at this level. This tends to lead to you having to take chances on players that for one reason or another have not been picked up by other clubs at this level.
Sometimes good coaching can bridge the gap a bit, but it's really hard to do this. And turning a losing start around is even more difficult.
From what I have seen Lane seems like a good guy who is doing what he can in very difficult circumstances, and I doubt we could even get anyone better. I don't think it's done yet, but it's going to be a very tough ask.
