Any particular Ks aren't at least proposing involvement in developing athletics stadium as part of this?

Sorry but the answer to that question is confidential and it is frankly appalling that you should even think it, let alone ask it...

that ship’s sailed
but imo, with all the disasters happening around the club, this is probably the board’s biggest failing

"the board’s biggest failings" could be one of those annual compilations, where a news anchor talks you through a countdown of highlights (lowlights?) of missed opportunities, own goals, communication breakdowns and absolute fucking howlers that record your beloved football club going from bad to worse to recurring nightmares of Imperial proportions.

Why has it sailed, they're building the school but surely that doesn't stop us going in with them on something at the track in the future?
It shows how much has to be done to get anything significant built though. 85 documents with that planning application. Biodiversity net gain metric, noise impact assessment, archaeological (cultural heritage) desk based assessment, construction environmental management plan, fire safety strategy...this is just a small selection without scrolling down too far. Can we even afford the planning permission for 'the envy of non league' with our dwindling AFC money, let alone get a spade in the ground?

The biodiversity stuff is poor
The last remaining mature tree is being cut down. A slow worm colony has been moved
It’s also a religious school but as the local councillor has been so proactive with it, as he was for the Lidl then it’s going to be built
Unfortunately he’s not a Ks fan

My point wasn't whether it's right or wrong to build the school. I don't have an opinion on that and I certainly don't have the time or the will to read 85 documents to try to come to one.
My point was that you have to account for all this stuff to get anything built. It takes time, it's expensive, it gets legally challenged at every step. People will oppose it because of pollution, noise, parking, wildlife, etc. At least a school though has a demonstrable public benefit in a way that a non-league football club, particularly a poorly-supported one without a women's team or a full youth setup, does not.
It's why Lovelace was always a fantasy, the latest plans are doomed to failure and some of us have been trying for years to make the case that we need to focus on existing sites instead.

It wasn’t so directed at you
I’d agree we need a decent strategy, including expertise in planning and councillors on board
I’d be personally in favour of so-called community sports facility with a 3G pitch so it can be used outside the club. When PNE had one you could hire it, which is how I go to play at Deepdale
It’d also be something tangible for councillors to show off after their Kingfisher fiasco

Agreed, we could and should have been an integral part of
this.
