I have renewed our invitation to the Directors to attend the public meeting on Saturday 20th - and urged them to attend. The Chairman has replied to me to say that the Board will discuss the invitation "in greater detail" at a meeting next week.
In the meanwhile, the Chairman has also volunteered that he will endeavour to answer any written questions in advance of the meeting - if they are received by next Saturday 13th.
Full details of the meeting, and how to submit your questions (or motions for debate) can be found at https://comeonuks.wordpress.com/2023/12/16/public-meeting/

The Board of Directors have been invited to attend but they have indicated that they won’t.
The club is at an absolute crisis point and they're not even willing to meet the fans to engage.

My understanding is that the Directors reply included a statement that they plan to organise a meeting for fans themselves ; albeit that there was not a clear indication as to when that might be.

John Fenwick told me in November 2022 they were about to organise a fans forum.

Frankly, in the context of our [otherwise confidential] communications, this looked simply like a spoiling tactic. I expect them to announce their own public meeting about a week before ours is due to take place.

even if true, it’s still arrogance of the highest order not to attend the supporters club meet

My feeling - and this is not just conjecture - is that the Board avoid forums because they have nothing to say. As in, the problem is not just "lack of communication", rather they have zero of substance with which to reassure supporters and they know how weak their answers to any questions would be.
A new groundshare? "Don't worry, we sent some emails"
A new ground after 7 years? "We told you before, we've sent an email"
The Athletics Stadium? "We don't have an email address for the Kingsmeadow development project - do you have it?"
New investment? "Someone might send us an email"
Relegation? "Send Simon Lane an email"

"New investment? "Someone might send us an email""
I thought that's what Mr Flatt was for?
Surely you just don't become a club Director because you offered a botched sponsorship deal or are good at registering businesses with Companies House?

Well they did say they’d have another Fans’ Forum three months after the last one. Almost 16 months have passed..

A board who have also said they need to improve communications for over 10 years, yet it has got considerably worse.
Time for them to go!

Motion to the : Public Meeting
Views: 15022
To help aid discussion I have submitted a motion for the meeting:
”This meeting urges to the Supporters Club Committee stick to the platform on which it was elected and find ways to promote the survival of Kingstonian FC, including continuing promotion of the club’s profile in the community, improving fan engagement and campaigning for a return to Kingston Borough as a matter of urgency.”

"find ways to promote the survival of Kingstonian FC"
I haven't seen the newly elected committee do anything other than search for ways to promote the survival of Kingstonian FC.

Totally agree
Emails, social media
I’m inundated with the promotion
Unfortunately I don’t quite get that with the official channels
(Can that part of the motion be changed please)

I certainly take issue with the words ‘stick to’ and remind supporters we are actually elected under a new rule:
2.1 The aims of the Supporters Club are to (i) act as an independent voice for Kingstonian fans, both members and non-members; (ii) scrutinise the Directors and shareholders responsible for the football club; (iii) organise both coach travel to away games and social events on behalf of its members and (iv) to raise funds for the benefit of Kingstonian Football Club to assist in its development and success [ceteris paribus]
