Why doesn't the club put it on the official website like it used to?

The sc who manage the minibuses don't contact the main club to ask for that or advise the club of meeting minutes, updates, events etc.
You'll need to check their page on Facebook and the blogspot Rex has, instead, and they send email updates if you are a member.

Hi Rosie,
If you don’t know what you’re talking about, it’s best to say nothing at all rather than spread misinformation to the crowd. It’s not the first time your opinion has been a country mile off.
Thanks.

Ok thanks.
Maybe Gary or a tech person will know but why is nothing on the new website searchable via google? Ie. You have to enter the site itself and search.

Sorry not true. I can confirm the SC have asked for this from the club.
It appears there’s a break down in communication on the club side. No surprises there.
Time for change

The club consistently have poor communication with the fans, that’s not new or unexpected. The new website is a shambles and Rosey herself has to take her share of the blame because a lot of stuff available on the internet got taken away in a sulk when she voluntarily left the SC committee. Yet, for Filipo pointing this out correctly, people are pressing the “dislike” button. Funny how any post here that criticises the running of the club, no matter how on point, always has 2 dislikes. Wonder if it’s the same two people every time? If so, I have some boots they can lick

Yeah, people love to lick those boots. Rosey quietly getting all her mates out to dislike my post. Not one of the 6 people who disliked my post (so far) has actually written anything to combat what I have said.

Damo-
I'm very hesitant to post this but you asked for an explanation for the downticks so it's fair to give my opinion. I doubt I'll be replying further simply to avoid diving further into "toxic" debates but the reason for my downtick is that I don't think verbal abuse (perhaps borderline depending on the thickness of your skin) of a fellow fan and one who has done so much for the club and been helpful to me whenever I have contacted her is appropriate. Clearly it's 50:50 on the likes and dislikes so it's not like I'm in a minority.
No-one has mentioned this comment from Simon Lane in his resignation:
"The toxicity around the club has been an unwelcome distraction for the players and staff, especially when trying to recruit and, although I see both sides of the disagreement very clearly, I have had to walk that thin line hoping to try to unify us."
Now if your aim is to get rid of the board it is almost impossible to not create a toxic atmosphere that also affects the performance of the team (especially if withdrawing sponsorship and donations), but it is possible to at least respect fellow supporters and to keep criticisms of directors to their (in)actions or policies rather than making it personal. I doubt I'm regularly one of the two downticks you mentioned (possible I am) but if I see something that strays into personal abuse rather than being a reasoned argument then I will casually downtick it as not helpful.
You used "hissy fit" in one of your posts about Rosey. If someone had said Gary had a "hissy fit" and withdrew support for the website I'd have downticked that as well. It's his choice as part of an unofficial "boycott" whether you agree with what he did or not. In this case you also can't even be sure that there weren't valid reasons for not passing the club shop platform along with too much work to sort out paypal agreements or whatever.
We've only circa 200 regular fans left and, sorry if this comes across as a hippie "we should all get along", but we need to give all the remaining fans an environment they feel comfortable and welcomed rather than push them away from the club if they disagree with you.

Fair play for actually having a conversation about why you disagree.
However, you’ve got Rosey piping up again about rudeness and being victimised. Not one thing in my post was personal or untrue.
Long term supporters, who want to do something to prevent our club from dying, stood up to do something about it. They stood for election to the SC committee to actually fight from a position of power. Rosey’s first comment was that she did not want ti work with these people wanting ti save the club and she resigned. Fact. Merchandise which was for sale online via her husband’s website then ceased, causing the SC problems in selling merchandise. Her sulking at not being on thr SC committee has harmed the SC merchandise directly due to this. Fact again.

Thank you Richard for your level-headed and supportive comments. Over the last couple of years I have indeed been getting a lot of abuse and amazing rudeness if I dare to offer any alternatives to what the new SC &co like to promote.
I'm too fed up to do this any longer, and will be retiring from all my jobs at the end of the season, as a direct result of the months of abuse some few people hurl at me without basis.
It is sad that having worked with the club for so many years and put so much work, effort and money into it, that something has caused certain few people to turn me into the bad guy. Incidentally 'hissy fit' is so childish it made me laugh, so thanks for that.
People who actually know me, know that I value integrity and fair discussion, and I am quite happy to discuss, agree to disagree, and update people on misapprehensions - but have been horrified by lies, paranoid and horrible comments and half-truths dropped by some of the long-time commenters. I am not saying the board are blameless in our situation - quite the opposite - but I can actually have a polite conversation, and disagree with any of them, without the least rudeness, vitriol and venom showered on me from some "fans".
It is hurtful that this season has been so unpleasant that I have no choice.

Hi Rosey, whilst it is regrettable that you have been spoken to like this, unfortunately there is no smoke without fire. There are many of us that have witnessed first hand your outright rudeness to many of our long serving fans, so for you to play the victim on here is equally as out of line as your behaviour. On a personal level, good luck for the future, on a football related level, good riddance.

‘I have indeed been getting a lot of abuse and amazing rudeness if I dare to offer any alternatives to what the new SC &co like to promote.’
Well you would know all about amazing rudeness! You’ve previously accused a fan of trying to scam the club by paying senior rate to get into a game…He was 68! You very rudely addressed JT with an aggravated ‘What?’ when his hand was raised to ask a question at the AGM. Not to mention the board room incident with the kids during the clubs recent ‘family day’.
As soon as our names were put forward to join the supporters club committee the first comment made was yourself. ‘If any of those names are voted in then I’m resigning from my post’. No attempt made on your part to listen to or work with us. Instead you continue to look down your nose at us like you’ve down for many years now. The fact that you’ve spoken to various members of my group in such a condescending manner suggests that you think that you’re better than us and more important to the club then we are.
‘…will be retiring from all my jobs at the end of the season’
Finally, some good news!
I know I’m gonna get a lot of hate for this comment but I genuinely mean it. I know that Rosey has done an awful lot for the club over the years and I’m not trying to take anything away from her, I genuinely appreciate anyone that does something for the good of the club. But the fact I spoke to a K’s fan at the Hastings game that I’d never spoken to before and they mentioned how rude you were to them recently just goes to show that it isn’t just my group that shares this opinion. I’m just sick of you playing the victim and not taking any responsibility for your own shameful behaviour!

Several of these responses were exactly why I was reluctant to post in the first place as it just kicks things off and presumably why the other 5 or 6 dislikes didn't bother.
Just briefly for Gary- that was the point I was making- you were offering a free service and then stopped offering a free service just as many people have stopped donating or sponsoring. Your choice just as Rosey has made choices re Supporters club and my point to Damo, by way of using you as an example, was that one person's considered decision can be another person's hissy fit and we shouldn't be using this language towards other fans and being easy to click a dislike button.
The dislikes on the forum are almost universally because of fans having a go at other fans or being over the top and getting personally abusive towards directors. I think it is very rare for me to ever dislike a well argued and non abusive post even if I disagree with it.

This is a load of old rubbish. The point of my thumbs down post was highlighting that every post that criticises the board, always justifiably, always seems to have two thumbs down reacts. I merely wondered if it’s coincidence or we do actually have the same two people that, for whatever reason, still back the board and thumbs down any criticism.

Me too, because it would be incorrect! I didn't withdraw support for the website; I asked the club to start paying to host it, which is what other clubs that use the platform do. I made it clear that I was very happy for them to continue to use FWP, but the club decided to walk away and use a different platform. I don't whether *they* were fitting at that time or not.

So the board willingly incurred an unnecessary expense and gave the fans a joke of a website?
Sounds spiteful/incompetent/pathetic (delete as applicable) to me.

For Senior (sorry but I don't know your ID or email address) and anyone else to whom this might apply:
You can obtain information, buy tickets and reserve your seats in person at the club shop on match days.
At the bottom of our email Newsletters, is a link to update your mailing preferences. If you click on the link, you will be able to opt in to receive specific email communications regarding coach travel to away games.
http://tinyurl.com/yex4pwyk
I have also now created an Away Travel page on the SC blogspot, which I will update with arrangements for forthcoming games.
https://comeonuks.wordpress.com/away-travel/
Hope that helps?

Good work Rex. A lot of these things used to be available on the club website. These are no longer available since the change of website to Rosey’s husband to control and then slipped away when Rosey voluntarily quit the SC committee. It’s like they’ve punished SC members and Ks supporters because they didn’t get their own way.
