Closing date for applications is today.
Seems a short period of time for proper applicants to
prepare an application since Simon Lanes 'resignation'.
Players are leaving, who on earth is going to want to take this on?

I thought with such a quick deadline they must have someone in mind already. Maybe they’ve just extended it to see on the off chance someone else worth interviewing applies… but nevertheless would still bet on Tutu Henriques

Maybe the next step is back to a time when it wasn't unknown for a team to be picked by a Selection Committee.
Hey it could be formed of ' board members '
Could be the next stage in the master plan.

Would guess then very few, if any applications have been submitted. Embarrassing for the new chairman, he should apply for it. We all know he wants it. Can’t wait for an explanation at the Chairman Q&A on Saturday (if it happens)

There are many out of work football managers and people who want to be managers. Whilst finding a new ground is a problem, finding a new manager should be possible.
It was interesting that Simon Lane referred to toxicity. That makes it harder of course.

Yes, he did mention toxicity.
Well done to everyone involved in that toxicity which has been a factor in our Manager leaving and some players as well.
You guys are really doing a great job in ensuring the future of Kingstonian.

You’re really going to blame us al for the toxicity , I’ll spit you some FACTS
1. No league win since October 23
2. 3 league wins all season
3. No away league win this season
4. 14/15 league games without a win
5. 6 wins all season
6. 2nd lowest average home attendance in the league
7. 5th lowest average attendance in whole of step 3
8. 10 points of safety (11 point as we have a 10+ worst GD)
9. 3 clean sheets all season.
10. A consistent struggle to name a full bench (till the last month)
We’ve been supporting the players & manager all season from start to finish, be it at Bognor, Carshalton, Canvey, Concord or Farnham. We’re pissed at the fact we’re going down with a whimper & it’s actually embarrassing & unacceptable.
Are you actually proud of this season seeker of the truth, if so WHY. No one else is.

It also seems that the club hasn't moved with the times. Our attendances have gone down at a time when every other team in the league has gone up post covid.
Other clubs around us have used social media, youtube highlights, groundhopping comunites, youth teams, ladies teams.

Fair play to Ollie for listing how bad this season has been, caused entirely by the worst board known at Ks.
Maybe this poster wants an overview of the last 10 plus years; the downward trajectory which has left us with effectively the name of the club and a handful of very disgruntled fans!

I have self reflected on the “toxicity” mentioned by both Simon Lane and Andy Somo. Am I part of the “toxicity”? My self reflection would answer, yes, potentially. But then is holding the board to account for their despicable way of running the club,, demanding answers for what should be openness and honesty in the first place, the lack of direction. The board are toxic and challenging their behaviour is not necessarily toxic in itself. Saying nothing and pretending everything is going ok is not just compliance with the board’s toxicity but aiding and abetting it.

What is despicable about the way the board are running the club?
In which way are the board toxic?

Your questions might've carried more credibility if you'd not created an account called "Seeker of Truth and Justice" just to ask them.
I mean, seriously? Who or what are you trying to hide?

there’s only so many times you can politely talk about an existential crisis at the club and how the fans and the town/borough have been repeatedly let down and lied to.
I guess if you keep failing to notice warnings and carry on like there’s no problem, it’s eventually gonna catch up with you

It's worth remembering just how long Ks fans were patient for - far too long in retrospective. The board and the previous SC asked us to be patient, which between announcing our departure from KM in January 2015 and the Mitcham/Lovelace announcement in December 2021, we were.
However since then the total lack of progress, enormous strategic errors and minimal communication have pushed Ks fans to the limit. It took an incredibly long time to boil over but now it has. Of course Simon Lane and Andy Somo weren't at the club back in those days so it wouldn't be fair to expect them to understand that context.

We need more toxicity. We need toxicity directed at the right people. This is our best hope of change.
I'm sorry if the manager/players were caught up in that but I didn't see much/any abuse towards them.

No, fans were generally very supportive of the manager and players.
In fact, were off the pitch matters not so dire, almost any other manager delivering the results we've had this season would almost certainly have had far more abuse directed at them. You could argue they've got off lightly.

I think this message should be sent to the directors. Their behaviour and treatment of the fans for the best part of a decade has caused the toxicity that you speak of. There comes a point when it boils over and boiling point was well and truly reached last season.

I'm guessing that the toxicity referred to was a relatively small part of the reason.
When the truth comes out about the "major adjustments" (cuts) to next season's budget, I think it will put things in perspective.

Let’s not make up fake news here.
Simon joined the supporters call a few weeks ago, he was clearly understanding of the supporters situation and was also shocked at the clubs lack of ambition, downward trajectory and inability to even look at the Athletics ground.
Simon has had a great relationship with the fans and the supporters club, I hosted the Q&A with him in October and had a good bond with him. Rex also has engaged with him and has a good relationship with him.
The board have caused the issues from the running of the club and treatment of the fans which is pretty damn disgraceful.
I still speak to a lot of club legends, some have become personal friends of mine. They get the fans, it’s the fans who they play for!

I feel really sorry for Simon Lane. I think the Club has let him down very badly.
We were chatting a while back, and he told me that he remembered seeing me at a game TEN YEARS ago. He's been a Ks fan/wanted to be Ks manager for a looong time.

Bloody hell, you might be the most famous Ks fan. 1000% agree with you, would love to hear an explanation why this been allowed to happen. It’s embarrassing to watch Ks like this.

I believe the Supporters club may be looking to hold a Q&A with Simon.
Will probably give us more of an insight into the circus at the club than Saturday’s Q&PA(Questions and Politician’s Answers!)
