I went to the game tonight as a guest of the match sponsor who by coincidence, happens to be a family friend.
We can currently only dream of a set up like Horsham's.
It wasn't that long ago when they were sharing with Horsham YMCA and Lancing. I would say that at the time of leaving their old ground in the town, they would have had the same amount of supporters and people that cared deeply about their club, as we do now. We can and will come back, I'm sure.
I think tonights results will have finally condemned us to relegation. We need to hear something positive from our custodians about a new home.

Spoke to one of their supporters. Trying for National League next season but, inspectors have given two items that need attention for grading. More seats and floodlight upgrade. The extra seats is a problem because the Council previously vetoed a larger stand when they put in planning permission for their new ground.

As a long-standing Horsham supporter I can sympathize with the awful situation your club finds itself in.
Unfortunately your club seems to be totally divided , ( namely the board and your loyal fans.) in my opinion you will not achieve anything until you are all singing from the same hymn sheet.
From our own position we were fortunate to have all sides within the club all pulling together during our 11 year exile.it was our council that caused all our problems, even after securing the land the council rejected the initial plans which meant we had to downsize from the original plans delaying the whole project, that cost the club thousands and still no assurances that they would give us the go ahead.
We now have our own ground we can be very proud of, eventually got the council to give the go ahead and since our return to the town we are looking forward once more.
The cup run this season has got our club noticed across the country, so many compliments have come our way which acknowledges the efforts of our board and all the volunteers who have worked so hard to make it work.
I do hope you all can get together and get your famous old club back in the town even if sounds as though it’s going to take sometime, I wish you guys all the best for the future.
