Forest Green Rovers are confirmed relegated from League 2 (boo). Sutton Utd are 99% certain to join them (hooray!) - with 1 game left, they're 3 pts and 7 goals behind Colchester, who have a game in hand.

Dorking Wanderers are relegated from the National League (boo) along with Boreham Wood (yah boo sucks).

Yeovil Town are promoted from the National South to replace them. Dover Athletic and Havant & Waterlooville are relegated. (Old Ks favourite away days suffering markedly different fortunes this season.)

One league below us, Levred are guaranteed a place in the play-offs. RPV might yet join them. Cor-Cas are confirmed relegated. But the best news of all comes from Guernsey who, despite letting slip a 3 goal lead at the weekend to finish 3-3, are now safe from relegation. No doubt our trip to the Channel Islands will be on a midweek evening in the coldest month of the year, but it's still probably the only thing to look forward to next year.

(Yes, I know there are other leagues and other teams. And yes I know we're not guaranteed to be playing in the South Central next season.)

I've been to Forest Green (great chips and curry sauce) and I'm not surprised they've gone down. The laudable values of the club mask what is essentially a village team that has been fairly poorly managed. A shame for Dorking, I think they have a nice set up but it was always going to be a tough league for them.

Interestingly in the league below Guernsey, Jersey look set to finish second and could be promoted via the playoffs.

It sounds like the isthmian wouldn't want to put Guernsey and Jersey in the same league, so we could end up with Jersey instead of Guernsey (which would be marginially preferable, mainly because they've got a plastic pitch which should alleviate postponment worries!)
