Hayden Bird has left Leatherhead

CLUB STATEMENT
The club wishes to announce that following an end-of-season review, Manager Hayden Bird has left by mutual consent.
Following a season which saw us improve, achieve a play-off final, but which ultimately saw us falling short of being promoted, the club has decided to change direction and move forward under new management on the pitch.
Hayden joined at a difficult time for the club on and off the pitch, and was a key part of stabilising and then helping us move the club forwards. He has worked tirelessly and successfully in establishing a settled team and improved performances, so we would like to place on record our
thanks and gratitude to Hayden for managing the team over the last 18 months and wish him well for the future, he will always be welcome at Fetcham Grove.
Hayden has asked the following statement to be placed on record. “I would like to thank everyone at Leatherhead FC for a thoroughly enjoyable 18 months. Since I arrived, I have always been aware of
the importance of being promoted this season and understand and respect the Club’s decision to move in a different direction. I would like to wish the club every success in the future.”
The club will now be focusing on recruiting a new manager and will make an announcement as soon as possible.

The Board of Directors, Leatherhead FC

One of Hayden’s best traits was remembering each and every fans name, and a bit about them, so I’m sure after the last couple of years, Hayden still hasn’t forgotten how incredibly awful your football takes$ are, Foley.

He only completed one full season with Ks Foley or have you forgotten that?

He was given a competitive budget to compete in the Isthmian Premier. We also had some very good cup runs, did you forget that too?

Would be helpful if you could find out what happened to the FA cup money. Hopefully that hasn’t been forgotten about!

Good point about the money.

Guessing went in club and to the playing budget the following season.

Honestly don't know though.

Ask John, he seems to be an authority on most things, runs with the hares and hunts with the hounds if you ask me.
