Once again, thank you to everyone who attended last week's AGM, both at home and online.

We're pleased to confirm that last year's Committee members were re-elected, and Jamie Brilley was elected to join as Treasurer.

The Minutes of the meeting are now available at https://comeonuks.wordpress.com/2024/07/02/supporters-club-agm/.

Thank you to Damo for letting us use the excellent Ewell Cricket Club and running the bar.

At tonight’s AGM, the bar will open at 18:00, meeting to start at 19:00. The bar will remain open during the meeting while respecting the meeting. There will be a break in the AGM for further bar orders and the bar will still be open after the meeting.

I have just updated the page at https://comeonuks.wordpress.com/2024/07/02/supporters-club-agm/ to include the Agenda for the evening, along with various other documents including the Annual Accounts, reports from the President and the Secretary, the minutes of last year's (two) meetings and a statement from a supporter who wishes to join the Committee next year.

We hope to see lots of Ks supporters at the meeting. You don't need to be a member of the SC to attend.

A reminder that the AGM is a week today!

Please join us for a drink and an evening discussing the future of our football club.

We have invited the Chairman; YV to attend and give us an update on a future ground.

I would also like to encourage supporters to join the Supporters club and help continue the good work that your Representatives are committed to doing on your behalf.

We can only exist in our current capacity if more volunteers come aboard and support our movement. If you would like to help in any way or even stand for the committee we are really keen to build on our firm foundations.

In addition to this please help us set the direction and goals for the supporter’s club for the new season. What do you want us to focus on and achieve? To Submit a motion, nominate someone for the committee and all other things AGM related remember to visit:

Unable to make Friday evening but, can the away travel problem be resolved before our first away match at Ascot on a Tuesday evening. RAKAT is reliable but how much does it cost per trip and it needs to be made more affordable to encourage more supporters to use it.

Hi Senior, I think it's important to discuss your point about away travel and we are also more than happy to have further discussions with supporters at Friday's AGM and throughout the season on this topic.

Having just looked at the accounts for the 2022/2023 season which are available to view on the main club site, the supporter's club made a loss on away travel of £1721.91.

For season 2023/2024, I am in receipt of the accounts which will be published this week. On away travel we made a loss of £2700.45.

Therefore in total over the past two seasons we have made a loss on away travel of £4442.36.

Although last season we have tried to encourage more supporters to use the minibus for away games, general uptake has been low. The committee has therefore decided it is unrealistic and unsustainable to offer the service in its current format.

Whilst one of our objectives as a supporter's club is to try and provide away travel for supporter's including those with mobility issues, we just cannot continue doing so if we are going to make such a loss.

We do undertake a number of fundraising acitivities including the club shop along events such as Christmas and end of season parties but we have also in the past few days had the match day 50/50 draw taken away from us by the football club with no consultation. They have offered us a measly 25% of 'profit' instead.

It is most of this fund raising which has helped us to subsidise away travel for supporters over the years and we will try and offer some mini bus services on an ad hoc basis where there is sufficient demand.

I am old enough to remember the days when we provided two coaches to most away games in the conference era. The subsequent demise of the football club has left us in the positon with less supporters so less revenue coming to the supporter's club and less need for regular away travel.

Does it need to be this way? Absolutley not. Unlike the board of the football club we are always open to ideas and suggestions from supporters, I would therefore encourage supporters to help us with running the committee, fundraising and using our away travel service when we provide it.
