What an utter shambolic performance we have a team that just doesn't seem to know what is expected of them. People keep asking on the forum why was Scott Harris was sacked at Walton & Hersham todays performance tells it all. A year ago most of this squad were ready for the Southern League Premier today two leagues below we cannot put in a shift with poor defensive decisions and a shot shy attack.

It’s only pre season, don’t want to show your cards early plus Rome wasn’t built in a day. Ks have a good manager but it’s going to take time to tidy up from the mess from last season embarrassment (depending on who you ask) .
This season will be no push over but it could & probably will be a good season. They will be ups & downs but things will be good.

The mess from last season has gone the current squad at Walton for a while should know each other and how to play.

I don’t think the problem today was system or how well the opposition played. I lost count of the amount of times we gave the ball away when the individual was under no pressure at all. Basic mistakes on what seemed a good surface. Just to say we are one league below Southern Premier.
Understand your frustration.
Good points. The facilities at RPV were far better than I was expecting and Bradley Wilson looked good. I thought the forwards did quite well and perhaps deserved more than the one goal. (We were fortunate to only conced three with the number of mistakes.goalscwell taken by RPV)

Dioesnt worry me, we play them in the league in a month so don’t want to show our hand too early. We now know how they play; fast high press, solid centre backs who don’t play the ball out when they can just hoof long balls out to wide players. And Connor Gallagher’s brother just running around like headless chicken and fouling everyone.

Makes a change from mind numbing sideways, few yards forwards, backwards passes and then back to the keeper who 'hoofs' it down field anyway.

This made me laugh. Exactly what his brother does at a much much higher level!

What is wrong with keeper took so long at times seems to have a desire to showboat, not a patch on Tolfrey

To be fair, Vale played well. For a pre-season friendly it was competitive with a few tackles flying in.
I thought Ks looked disjointed and like they hadn't spent a lot of time together and heads went down pretty quickly....But there was some nice passing and sparks.
Totally agree about shot shy which surprised me a bit. The keeper looks like a curious one too...bit too much showboating with the ball - sometimes a simple big boot isn't a bad thing.
Thought the atmosphere was disappointing but a decent game overall.
