It was explained to me this: "Basically we got locked out of the account owing to the fact that a young lad who is helping us put his date of birth in to the system when prompted. He should have ignored the prompt but the upshot is that X locked the account owing to the fact that it thinks that we were under the age of 13 when we began the account."
So an unfortunate error. But yeah, bullying Rob W to come back and then expecting him to get by with an inexperienced young chap...

This sounds like 99% Twitter's fault, and it not having a way to treat individual or company account's separately when it comes to asking for a 'date of birth'. It sounds like an easy mistake for someone to make even if they're experienced with the platform.
If you look online, companies have experienced this for years without Twitter ever fixing it. In the past, people seem to report getting quickly up and running again by sending photo ID but that was before Musk fired most of their staff.
There's still much to criticise the club over (not least three more signings tonight when we're using the AFC money for rent) but this seems genuinely unfortunate. It's also a shame that it's distracted from yesterday's announcement of a promising £5 entry promotion that we're trying for August and September.

We weren't. Sounds like the guy put his current DOB in and it flagged that he wasn't 13 when we set the account up, which I assume was in 2009ish. The system is ridiculous, it's set up for individuals and not for companies that have multiple people managing them.

In the case of SW Trains did they just create a new account or did they resolve the problem?
Edit: I see the fix has now happened. creating that new account after one day of issues was daft but glad it’s been sorted now

Isn’t it great to see what some young inexperienced chaps who are well connected in that field can achieve very quickly!
The board need to have a real big think about what can be achieved by involving the fans to run this club properly!

Yeah the initial error seems to have been unfortunate more than anything else, but deciding to just abandon hope of restarting the account and creating a new one from scratch, rather than using expertise amongst the fanbase to solve the problem...well that says a lot doesn't it.
Soon it will be the fans creating a new club from scratch!

Oh fair enough.
Remarkable the rest of us managed to run it for 10 years without libelling volunteers or deleting the whole account, but there we are.
