Another shambles of a performance!!! The management team should be ashamed, no idea and useless performance.

Look on the bright side - at least no outrage bout lack of/ cost of supporters coach to a replay.

Maybe you should speak to the management team.
But remember
Currently we have a make shift back 4 when mitch comes back pj at lb and Mills at rb makes a big difference
Also we do not play bad football we never gave up.
Also they are a league above and 4 nil up at half time when they could have sat back but they did not they closed us down
They were not a bad side but you seem to think we have a god given right to win it does not happen like that
In scott we trust

Fair point foley
Question, not a suggestion
Has Scott thought to go into the loan market or bring in a temporary replacement instead of going with a makeshift back line.
Just curious that’s all

The board doesn't have the money to run the club. They'd rather keep control by dipping into the Womble money instead of letting people with the finances and ability run the club. No chance they can afford to loan anyone.

Who is Mills? How quickly can he play?

Harry Mills is a right sided wing back and a dead ball specialist.
Michal Gough and Mills in the back line, were an integral part
of Walton's rise under Scott Harris.
I am led to understand that both players signed at the beginning of the season, along with the bulk of W&H s squad.
However, both have long term injuries and won't be fully fit for
some time. I don't imagine Scott has a budget to bring in players
or loanees of a similar standard until they are fit.
Our lack of defensive numbers has been cruelly exposed in the last couple of games. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the board
thought we were going to hit the ground running at the beginning of the season with a bit of a cup run in the background to bring fans back and funds through the turnstiles.

Spoke to mitch yesterday he is hopeful for Friday weather he will start or not is another thing maybe come on at some point.
Mills apparently had an opp right ankle i think not sure though and maybe back November but don't quote me on that
Them 2 will certainly I believe will make a difference
Stan is different gear as well by the way fingers crossed we can keep hold of him.
The 3 youngsters jack pacey and Ben I thought all did well when they came on and I don't think they looked out of place either tbf

Yes that is right. Harry Mills was injured around that time and coincidentally W&H’s form dropped off about that time. He was a VIP in that team, tremendous player and dead ball specialist.

Ok fair, knew about Gough but there’s nothing announced/confirmed about Mills signing. Maybe because he was injured he hasn’t actually but it’s planned for when he returns…
Fingers crossed both are back soon. Still that’s not going to have a bearing on how easy it’s been to play through the midfield in the past two games and that seems tactical. Both Kelly and Frailing were pushing up so high, there was almost no midfield to speak off, Wilson was screaming at one of them to sit and hold after the 3rd or 4th goal.
It’s almost the polar opposite of last season at the moment. Despite the amount of games we lost in 23/24 we worked hard and were often difficult to play through, but obviously lacked any quality. Now we have quality and play nice football at times but are extremely easy to play through

Yes, I think you are right.
Kelly and Frailing were obviously pushed up, looking to create chances for the front line.
TBH, I would have slotted Kelly imto the back four to shore up the defence, he can play there and fill up the midfield with our youngsters. Shame Duncan wasn't fit, just adds to our defensive and creative woes.

It was certainly a one sided thrashing.

Don’t agree either game has been one sided, must have had 80%+ possession and a lot of that in the final 1/3… we just look absolutely clueless at both ends of the pitch, and give it away a lot in the middle, all of which are kinda crucial

We started very well and could have scored two early goals. The problem is that, even if those chances had gone in, Chichester would have still been well capable of exposing us in the end. Their goals seemed so easy.
I get the "we play a certain way and so we'll concede" argument but that's not much use/comfort against good teams.
I like Bradders and Simon a lot and Flaherty is fun. The left-back seemed OK. Maybe Mitchal Gough will significantly improve us - but we've heard nothing about when he'll be back.
Going out of the cup so early presumably heralds a budget cut. A Trophy win on Friday could stave that off for a while.
I'm still not sure what we're trying to do: get promoted back to a league we just took voluntary relegation from? Invest in the team for a lucrative cup run? Get fans back (200 today)?

I would have thought going out of the cup today would have
No bearing on the budget ,surely you would not include any
Income from cup competition anyway.

Considering the board pretty much admitted they’re gambling with the available budget to pull together a squad that will hopefully be successful and draw crowds back… wouldn’t surprise me at all if they’d also made plans based on hopes of going on a cup run

agree it won’t affect budget much cos we can dip into the escrow account whenever we like.

Ridiculous to suggest we had 80% of possession, if we had that much
We would not have conceded 4 goals ,they could have had 6 by the way.
When the unavailable players return our season will lift off.
