The problem is without a full explanation, only speculation will happen.
A theory - A threatened playing budget cut (no money from the cups) - Manager leaves - club realises this means half the team will go, spiralling down the table and crowds of 100 to 150- budget reinstated (at the moment) - Manager returns.
If I was a betting person, might not be far off ๐ค

It would be great if we carry on in the pragmatic way weโve performed to win the last two away games. Hopefully the manager can reflect on how we got those results, versus how we conceded 7 in his last game in the dugout.

Confusion here as well but what a pick up and positive joy for the weeks ahead and Sutton Common particularly this weekend.
I guess the following days will tell us confused what happened for Scott to return and if he sat and thought it through or an approach was made but either way we are surely delighted he has returned.
Please remember whatever the reason for Scott leaving it maybe we can all think it through and wonder if we could all have helped more either with active support or just being a little more positive.

I don't know what has gone on with Martyn Lee but his public statement, inexplicably amplified on the official club website, was very misjudged and unfairly cast the K's fanbase in a bad light.

I'm not sure Martyn said anything negative about the supporters?
His statement paid the (obligatory) thanks to the Chairman but then said "It's hard to recognise the club at the moment, hopefully one day it will be as great as it was before." I think many of us would echo those feelings.

Maybe. Maybe. The Chairman had said (the day before) that Scott had left due to a segment of the supporters (which the supporters found befuddling since Scott had faced no abuse and only the mildest criticism). Then Martyn Lee chose to put out his own "resignation" news story which said "It's hard to recognise the club at the moment" which most readers (including me) interpreted as him meaning he also thought the environment had become toxic due to the supporters. He certainly didn't thank the supporters but did make sure to say "I would like to thank George for the support he's shown us".

Sometimes you don't realise what you have til it's gone. Scott has a great side chasing down the league title, a chairman who will back him to the hilt and a new ground move simmering along in the background.
