Last night vs Moneyfields.

Bit of a contrast to Saturday vs Harrow.
We started brightly like we always do and could have been
a couple of goals up in the first 20mins.
Brad was brought straight in from his suspension and scored,
but became more frustrated with service as the night wore
on. We seemed to go back to 'overplaying' the ball from the back
and Moneyfields caught us out on a number of occasions and may well have deserved to go home with a point after striking the woodwork, twice late on. We'll have to be on our game at
Hartley Wintney on Saturday to maintain òur challenge at the top and Eddie starting a three match ban.
We are lucky to have Taurean and Palace to bring on to maintain
our striking options. Taurean was exceptional against Harrow.
Mention must go to Arsene, Liam Allen and Joe Hicks who have been brilliant since Scott returned to duties as manager.
Roll on Saturday. Come on u Ks!

Well said OP
It was definitely an after the Lord Mayor's show last night after the battling and bustling win on Saturday.
It certainly was a case of "win ugly" last night but that's an important piece of the armoury too - 3 points and a clean sheet from a drab and dire game.
I was kind of thinking Brad had an "off" night yesterday but that probably highlights even further what a huge contribution he's made in all the other games.

Yes, Liam Allen has been great recently. Important saves but also decision-making and authority.

For a number of reasons this was the first game I'd seen since covid in 2020 and while they didn't score 5 goals or more, and I take the points above that it was a below par performance, I actually enjoyed it. Not unusual to come off the back of a fine win and then falter a bit the following game having thought you'd "done the hard work".
Many was the time I'd trudge back down the road at Casuals to the train station and think why I am bothering with this for a £100 train fare, even if staying overnight and doing other stuff, whereas on Wednesday there was an energy from the team that was missing from the cautiousness we used to see. Maybe not much singing but it felt like quite a good atmosphere behind the goal with people making some funny comments. It's nice to see a team of mates who just want to play for the club and not journeymen that will be off for a better offer and it felt like proper non league to me. Clubhouse good experience although would struggle with a big crowd I guess.
Were it not for the ground and finances worry I'd be quite content with this offering on a regular basis even if the Macclesfield and AFC Fylde moments may be harder to obtain. Of course we don't know to what extent having this manager and team is a gamble or is sustainable.
Also thanks to Jamie Breeze for going over and above and sorting out the collection of my online order of mugs and glasses.

Hi Taimour
Yes would definitely said hi if I had seen you there. I tend to know all the names and faces at K's but often don't put the two together.
When I lived in Kingston I'd definitely have been as excited as others are about Guernsey but more of a trek for me and while it's not a set in stone rule I'm hoping I can avoid plane travel for the rest of my life- partly global warming but mainly just a horrible experience. Hope it's a great couple of days anyway and might be the only chance looking at the way the league table is.
That performance Wednesday though does make me more receptive to Saturday day trips or Wednesday games with a short stay and when I retire next summer the Saturday trips are more likely as Saturdays will be less precious than they are for us at the moment.
