8 and counting.

8 wins,8 clean sheets and for a while top of the league.
Although a narrow victory it was for the most part an
easyish win in a game we should have sown up before
half time.

Yes, quite right. Never really tested, but ground out the right
result. Big gap behind us and Farnham now.
Well done to the whole squad and management team for
maintaining this unique run. Come on u ks!

And yet a crowd of just 217. Contrast with Farnham Town and a crowd of 987.
217. At "home".
Let that sink in. On the back of seven consecutive wins and a game that could've seen us go top of the League.
Time's up, Yioryos. Step aside and let competent people run the Club.

Also let's not take away this team is good and doing well we all need to be positive things are good at the moment
Also what I have seen in the last 3 games Is that the supporters have been great as well and getting behind the team keep it going boys and girls

agree the run is great and of course it’s positive
however, as a set of fans the worst thing we could do for club is gloss over all the existential problems that remain. we need true fans - which includes the positivity - not fickle ones who forget who absolutely messed up things are

Well I ain’t going to a home match for the foreseeable future unless whatsiface changes his spots or he goes
Unfortunately the decent away games were midweek- Guernsey excepted. And I’m not going there. I’d rather go that but further and go to the mainland, in which pyramid they should be playing, not here

The chance of land being available for stadium build is and
always has been a pipe dream , so the ONLY option I can
see is the athletics stadium.
OR we come to an arrangement with RPV for a permanent
ground share ,with Kingstonian financing ground upgrades.
We need a permanent base because the constant nomadic
travel is I think driving us all crazy.
The season so far is giving us a sense of hope on the field
but obviously off the field not for the first time cause for
concern.

there’s two stadia in the middle of Kingston we haven’t had serious conversations about
but my original comment wasn’t specifically anything to do with the (lack of) ground. it’s many many aspects of it.
as fun as it is, I worry the excellent season on the pitch will make us lose focus on the bigger concerns we should have

There’s also the old rugger ground in Kingston Vale although U.K. not sure if that has some sort of stipulation on it
Agreed we need a central ground to the borough, or importantly to the town of Kingston

As you well know john with your experience it's so easy to get land in the borough of kingston.
They want house , flats and business's not a football club never have done

Foley there’s a number of plots of land available in the Borough of Kingston which can be used for sporting use. A number in Chessington and Tolworth just for starters.
I feel like it’s Groundhog Day with you a lot of the time Paul, like we keep telling you the same thing a number of times then you keep asking the same questions.
The club’s future is seriously at risk now so I will refer you to Jon’s quote above, let it sink in, re-read it. Maybe even ask Jon to print it on a canvas for you so you don’t forget it:

Maybe instead of just posting on here you could actually enlighten the rest of us and the council to where these plots are.
COME ON YOU Ks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I’ll just stop posting on here and your mates on the Ks board will get a ground.
Why would I go and tell the council where the sites are when they already know?
Let’s not forget your pal on the board only cares about watching football on Saturday’s and seeing his mates. That’s his own words.
So how how you stop backing a board which the rest of us can clearly see is killing our club instead of telling me what to do?

Unless we stump up a good few millions when ever Chelsea Women move (probably 5+ years) it ain’t going to ever happen Chelsea youth play there & they not going to move. If you remember they also use it, not going move them to the bridge, cheaper to run especially when crowds are low for youth football

It's along time Ks had anywhere near 900 odd for a home league game, even under Dowson when challenging for , and even succeeding, promotion play-off place in the division above.
Ks fans above many others should know success on the pitch is no guarantee of a football clubs future.

The last time we had that in the league was the Havant game at Kingsmeadow

I think it may take time for crowds to increase. We underestimate the damage done by recent moves (two years in Mitcham where we shed at least 50 to 100 fans) and we can't assume people will return or even know where we are now. There may also be locals - the 5 to 10 games per season category of supporter - who simply go to RPV or Casuals or Chelsea Women now.
Relatedly, there are some basics not being done in terms of marketing: the social media offering is still parlous and way behind many other clubs. There has been no Facebook or other advertising. There's no interviews or goal footage. We don't have youth teams anymore. We don't, from a distance, seem "alive".
It would be a reasonable aim, i think, to get 250 at home at step 4 (considering also the low number of away fans) and 300 at Step 3. As a starting point.
It was good to see some rowdy teens behind the goal yesterday although I believe they were acolytes of a leading SC Committee Member.

Agreed.
We seem to be doing minimal marketing wise when we have a great team out there.
It's about getting new people in the ground. Scott's message of Bring a Friend in the programme should have been backed up with an incentive in my opinion ESPECIALLY on a international break when people would not have been able to watch their main (Prem/Champ) teams. Something like ST holders of other teams get in half price etc.
Just feels like a missed opportunity

Exactly
Marketing at the club has been rubbish for years
It’s not as though they’re some fans around who could help, rather then cronies or people who have other things more important to do but find it dumped on them

How realistic do you think 217 was for the crowd?
Not being a prophet of doom (more a realist I hope) but a quick count around the ground yesterday (from standing by the tea bar) and I reckon it was 170-180.
I reckon it was also 170-80 for the previous home game.

Well we all know ST are counted regardless and not all of them can turn up every game.
You make a good point the number of fans.
I did offer my own suggestions to boost attendences to the board which was declined. Like the one I mentioned above

They have to be counted because they do have a ticket for the game whether or not they attend
All clubs are the same upto including the EPL
That leaves the question about how safe it is particularly if something happened eg a disaster. Nobody completely knows who’s there

I Would like to make a point about the cash gate money taken.
Why are you not given a ticket when you hand over the money
How can it be known in that case how many people are in
attendance.
I'm not in any way suggesting wrong doing by the way.
Maybe a numbered ticket could then be raffled at half
time for a cash prize.
