Ahead of tomorrow's Isthmian League game v Leatherhead, the Supporters Club Match Centre has links to all the information we can find. After the game, we'll add links to reports, post-match interviews, reels, photos, etc.
Leatherhead FC (the "Tanners") were formed in May 1946 - although their history, much like Ks, dates back much further. The 'original' club (Leatherhead Rose) was formed in 1907 and they've been playing football at Fetcham Grove since the early 1930s. The club we know today came about after WWII and they've been playing home games at the flood plain beside the River Mole ever since.
Leatherhead and Fetcham Grove hold special memories for me. My Dad took me (and my elder brother) to watch our first games of football there in the early 1970s. I have great memories of Leatherhead's 1975 FA Cup match against Leicester City in front of 32,000 people (and the BBC's Match of the Day cameras) when Chris Kelly (later of this parish) made headlines for all the right and wrong reasons. A few years after that, Kelly, the "Leatherhead Lip" as he was known, presented me with a Golden Boot for my successes in the local Cub Scout football league. In 1978, I watched them in the final of the FA Trophy at Wembley, where they lost 3–1 to Altrincham.

I totally failed to spot that the FA Cup 4th Round game v Leicester City was FIFTY years ago this very weekend. Levred are at home to Old Bill tomorrow, and look forward to welcoming back some of the stars of that amazing cup run. I hope they have a great day.

Baffled by this pitch. Is there an underground river?
It hasn’t rained all week!

This is BONKERS if the pitch is unplayable
then something is amiss .
RPV played on it last Tuesday .
Since then a very small amount of rain
and temps of 6 to 9.
I think our last home game was Nov 30.
If ca!!ed off don't hold out much hope
until MARCH.

Not only did RPV play on it last Tuesday, it was against Met Police, who showed in the fixture against Ks that they won't play on any pitch they deem unfit. Pitch must have been like a bowling green on Tuesday, yet today needs a pitch inspection?

Presumably the pitch inspection was to check there was a pitch?
What a bizarre set of events.

I don't know the full ins and outs of Saturday's inspection and I know comms is not this club's speciality but maybe encouraging K's players not to consistently bitch about our landlords' would be a wise move. It reeks of entitlement - and we're running out of ground share options.

We knew this pitch cuts up in winter and we know that maintaining grass pitches through the winter is hard work. Don't see how this helps.
