Player of the Season 2024-25

We've just launched the 2024-25 Player of the Season. This season, we've restricted the shortlist to the 12 players who have played a minimum of 25 games. You can only vote online, you can only vote once, and you can only vote for one player.
The player receiving the most votes will be announced after the final game of the season.

Highly suspicious voting patterns have been detected in this year's Player of the Season poll.
If it persists, all votes will be cancelled and the poll will be started afresh, with voting restricted to members of the Supporters Club.
We reserve the right to exclude from the PotS poll any players suspected of manipulating the outcome.

The "seasonal adjustment" (as they used to call it with the unemployment figures) of attendances by Ks and Vale has been nothing short of outrageous. Add 100 here, double the crowd there etc. Not quite sure what they get out of that? 🤔
I voted for Brad Wilson. Eddie would have been the easy choice but, for me, BW is just a class above.

Pretty obvious what Yiorg and Jim get out of inflating the attendances: it allows them to paper over the cracks and pretend that the “spend money to attract fans” mad strategy has been something other than a colossal failure and waste of their cash.

Well, we’re all entitled to an opinion, but it would be interesting to know on what grounds you feel no one is entitled to the award? Is it because we’ve not won any silverware nor even guaranteed a playoff spot … yet, but the players have nevertheless played with commitment and endeavour for 40+ games. This is not about disenchantment with the board and
In general though, I do feel it’s rather unfair to single out just one player for an award when there are many that have out in some great performances. Despite all the things that are so badly wrong within the club over the last few years, I have nothing against the players and feel that they deserve some rousing applause after the final league game, regardless of the result and whether there is a playoff game still to come.

Well, that's a door that swings both ways.
Personally, I think the supporters have put in a tremendous performance this season. Despite the misinformation and the disinformation that's comes from the Directors, they've continued to get behind the players. Home and away, often in good numbers and usually in good voice - and frequently with very little acknowledgement from the players (and especially the manager) after games.
Okay, so it might be a little sparse and a little quiet this Saturday. But don't let anything John Bangs has to say fool you into thinking that that's aimed anywhere other than at the Boardroom.
