And on to Saturday

Two really good performances saw the Ks achieve back to back wins as the team rallied after a string of poor results. Seven goals scored and two clean sheets over the Easter weekend meen that the K’s keep their play-off hopes alive.

There was great travelling support at Guensey and the Supporters Club did an excellent job in coordinating this. The team coach was even met by fans en route from the airport and the support behind the goal was just brilliant. Speaking to people from Guernsey, they thought this was the best away support they had seen at their ground this season..

It don’t take a genius to work out how crucial a match this makes Saturday’s visit from Ascot. So what can you say but
Come on you K’s

Huge game coming up , a game we must win to make
The playoffs.
After looking certain to end the season as top five
we now have a nail biting finale .
The BIG question remains are we equipped for promotion
if we make it.
Even bigger question is where are we going to play next season
as it would have to be Premier standard.

.

TBH, looking at the shake up as it stands, all we have to do is 'mirror' what Hayes & Y do next Saturday. If they win or draw, we must do the same to grab 5th place. Of course, if we achieve this, we have to overcome one of Ascot, Uxbridge and Hanworth Villa in the SF and final. Its a real tough ask. If we make it back to the Premier, can we hold our own?
I think so. The big question, in my opinon, is will Scott Harris and the squad stay next season?. I believe we should be playing at the highest level possible and I think the present management team and squad, with some additions, would hold their own.

The first question is fair one. It would be a challenge but I hope so .

The answer to your second question is easy . We have a two year deal with our friends at Raynes Park Vale and promoted clubs have 12 months grace to meet ground grading standards

As a businessman I would say we are putting ourselves in a weak negotiating position. Every team with a step 3 ground will know we have to find a suitable groundshare within twelve months, Realistically there are a limited number of options, particularly given we have previously burnt our bridges with some Clubs during previous groundshare e.g Casuals. We might find the prices quoted by potential groundshare partners attract a “K’s Premium” as we have boxed ourselves into a corner.

I guess it has been confirmed that as tenants without any long term agreement we still get to benefit from the 1 year grace period? If so, that's good news.

Not to throw you a swerve ball here but I'm sure I can't be the only one wondering if there any contingency for after this 1 year period or are we praying for the best outcomes if we go up this year & stay up next year?

If RPV have a good 2025/26 then they might want to go ahead & start the improvements they will need to make Grand Drive step 3 ready... but anything outside of that starts to look a bit sticky for us.
