I’m unsure why people who have spent years watching non league football do not understand non league football. Players are not contracted. Players get approached by other clubs offering more money. Players leave for more money. The approaching club only has to give 7 days notice.
This has been the case for years but people still not understanding it.

Yes, and sometimes players leave becuase the managers who brought them are sacked after a convincing win with no proper explanation, and the club's attempt to hire a replacement leads to public humilation.

Having the ability to pay sineine higher money dies not make them a “bigger club”. Apart from anything, I hate the phrase “big club” because it means fuck all. It also gives people like you, who are stuck in the past, reason to be arrogant over other clubs.

explanation. I'm just assuming that as Ethan Lindo left us for Hanwell town, he must have had a seven day approach from them, before he debuted for us, scoring a couple of goals at Fareham, I think?. Timing just seemed odd?

Ks might have waived the 7 days. Depends on the player and situation. If a player has served you well for a couple years, but is no longer playing you might do that. Same as if the player arrives and doesn't get much of a look in and moves on. Things that delay these things can be as simple as a player not teturning a club tracksuit (happened with a player we tried to sign once). Also depends on the club making the seven dayer, are they a rival? etc.
