South Park game

I thought it was a very encouraging performance by the K's last night.
A few candidates for player of the match but I couldn't decide between Darryl Siaw and Tom Jackson.
Is there any chance we could make Ashford Town our new ground ?

I have no idea whether this a joke or not. Which in itself is a worry.
Please, K's, do not do this.

The joshing has become reality - I had to check it wasn't the 1st of April
I realise my matchday journey is not normal for most Ks fans but really? We have been consistently experiencing the "thin" of "thick and thin" since 2001-2 but this is a new low.
I have no beef with moving from RPV ( although I have enjoyed it there) and understand that they must put themselves first but what can be done to sweeten this pill? Free coaches from Kingston and Tolworth? And for a possible 3 seasons - is that how far we are from the new ground or is that dead in the water? No communication feeds rumour.
Richmond rd, Beveree, Carshalton ( briefly), Kingsmeadow, Leatherhead, Tolworth, Tooting, RPV and now Ashford Middx , unbelievable - what next Reading?

The new ground was only ever pie in the sky, the money AFC have left was only ever meant for ground share money ,it costs 25 times as much to build a stadium as they proved returning to Wimbledon, and that is if you have the land.Anderson Wainwright and Fenwick have a lot to answer for, their parting shot,Ks futere lies away from Kings meadow,as they pocket 150,000 pounds for the last 7 years of Ks playing arrangement back to A FC.the bastards.

So no longer getting our OWN ground instead possible ground share at Ashford for three seasons!! If the club organises transport fine but I will not attend evening matches if they don't not the most safe place at night is Stanwell.

Nah, we're the footballing equivalent of those "American" sweet shops that sell fake Willy Wonka chocolate bars which keep appearing in different locations as a front for money laundering and other creative accounting practices.

Pop-up kitchens are - generally - a good business model. This is not.

Certainly better hunting ground for us than RPV was recently

We need to be as close/accessible to Kingston as we can be. We had our best crowds at Casuals, our worst at Mitcham, and Leatherhead and RPV have been somewhere in between.
We've had a ludicrously wet winter but that shouldn't put us off grass forever. And a few good results on 3G shouldn't come into it because keeping fans is much more important.

Think 3G may suit us better with a young side.
Also all non league should be 3G really asmakes money. No brainer
New ground I am sure 99 per cent would be 3G it is the way forward for our level and all way to conference.
Has to be

Well we know the ambition for a new ground has always been 3G and that's all well and good; but making money isn't relevant to the ground share, and in my opinion the groundshare being as close to Kingston as we can be is way more important than what might or might not help the team get a few extra points.

Amen to that - that said I am planning to go to the 4th, 7th and 11th trio of "home games" - has anyone heard if they at Grand Drive or greater Hatton Cross? If the latter I would appreciate any steer from those that have been - SL7 then another bus? Drive?
The viability of NL on grass is a huge topic ( climate change etc) - I am hoping any new ground has a 3G - late converter
See you all on the 4th.

I think we’re due news today according to Robs wonderful programme notes from yesterday’s game. RPV are scheduled on their pitch Saturday, my guess we’ll have to await longer before our possible return. Ashford is working for us as we’re winning. It’s inconvenience for the fans, but needs must, can’t wait till multi midweek games become a reality.
Grass is king but with the weather as we’ve had 3/4/5G is pretty much the way forward (also can help with commercial & community use)
See you at Hayes on Saturday

I’m pretty much a bit of a late convertee too
Not only must sport in general work towards climate change aware, eg how it’ll do to reduce its effect but also sustainability (proximity to fan base and public transport links), but also we need to look at opening it upto community use as a revenue source but also to reduce any opposition to a new ground
I think 4G is the way forward and pretty centrally located to our borough

agree with much of this
Grass isn’t over and the start up costs of 4G are prohibitive… but with it seems 4 artificial pitches being proposed in the borough, it’s gonna be all around us.
community use of such places is what can integrate clubs into their locale as much as (or more than) what the football supporters do
